from last weekend's Street Sprints. new PB for the car 1:00.79. I think the lap in the video is a 1:00.89 if I got the right lap from the right session. Might inspire some of you southerners to come up here for a drive of the fastest track in the country.

Ben, appaently it flooded down there with all that rain we had on Easter Monday.

Thanks Roy. The walls are a bit close in places, but it really is a great fun track to drive with the elevation changes, camber crests on corner exits and the high average speed.

Mick, it was actualy the first track I ever drove on. you'll be alright if you treat the place with respect and learn the track before pushing too hard. It scarred the crap out of me first time I drove there...

I find when you look at footage of tracks its very different to when you are driving. I bet you dont even notice the walls etc when you are driving or the bumps. I know as a passenger you notice it all...but driving... you seem to zone out.

Will make it to Lakesie one day, Mallala is going to happen before that though

Ah, Lakeside one of my all time favourite tracks. The last time I raced there was 1981, the trophy is still on the shelf, needs polishing though. Shoot, I feel old just thinking about how long ago that was. Gotta get back there next year, it's on the list.

Cheers

Gary

    • I think Fitmit had some, have a look on there (theyre Australian as well)
    • Hah, fair enough! But if you learn with this one you can drive any other OEM manual. No modern luxury features like auto rev-matching or hillstart assist to give you a false sense of confidence. And a heavy car with not that much torque so it stalls easily.
    • Actually, I'd say all three are the automatic option. Just the different trim levels. The manual would be RSFS, no?
    • What Duncan said sounds right. Also, it looks like they only have the driver's mat. Not the rest. Because looking at the diagram: KG4911 is just the mat for the driver. KG4900 is the full set if I'm not mistaken and discontinued.   But, it looks like they may still have the full set for the manual S2. Might be worth checking for the other models as well as they seem slightly different. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/nissan-japan/stagea/wgnc34/6649-rb25det/misc/G49 Man, I'm tempted.
    • I dunno about that as a blanket statement. Pitwork is Nissan's "Nissan genuine" thing, and for stuff like timing belts, I have found them to be excellent. Of course, for things like oil filters, you always use proper trusted brands anyway, not whatever the OEM has taken to using.
