deano27
Hi Guys, I am upgrading turbo/injectors/AFM and getting a Nistune remap. Just wondering will I need to get the mechanic doing the remap to install the injectors and AFM or can I install them and still be able to drive the car to the workshop. Thanks Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/269460-injector-and-afm-upgrade/ Share on other sites
Turbz RB-25
Get the mechanic to do it. If it's a REALLy short distance from the place you'll be installing it to the mechanic, like I am laking 500m to 1KM, then you can drive it. Otherwise, don't bother, it'll runn rough as guts, might not even run at all. Moodles2
Assuming you have a Nistune personal tuning license or using the one-off trial user. The injector changeover is possible to do yourself, it's just a simple matter of putting the new injectors in, and plugging your laptop into the OBD port and changing the KCON (injector size from stock to current size) and also getting the injector latency right (stock latency * 2, say the sard 700cc injector has a lag time of 0.65ms you put 1.3ms in Nistune). http://nistune.com/docs/NIStune_Mapping_Guide.pdf Edited May 11, 2009 by Moodles2 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/269460-injector-and-afm-upgrade/#findComment-4587388 Share on other sites

R31Nismoid
As with past threads - no you cannot change injectors/AFM and expect the car to be driveable. Simple as that Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/269460-injector-and-afm-upgrade/#findComment-4587701 Share on other sites
