Hid Kit In S1

Hi,

Has anyone tried a HID kit (4300/6000k) in a S1 Stagea, and was it worth it?

Are they the correct type of headlights to actually get a benefit - like a sharp beam cut off, or does it make the beam spread everywhere?

Am I better off just getting some good bulbs?

I cant tell you definately about the beam focus- but some of the HID kits on EBAY are awesome quality and only around $100 or so bucks. So in my opinion I would definately give it a shot.

Saw one of those kits in real life and this one particular brand (cant remember which one it is ) was really well made, looks like it should have cost much more,

Have a set in my own there a 8000k set and they are so much better than normal bulbs.

If you got the money to spend go for it!

I've got 6000k in mine and they get comments constantly.

I've also knocked out the yellow lenses in the foggies and have another set in there for extra high beam

You'll never want halogen again, they'll just look dirty

VERY CAREFULLY.... With the butt of a screwdriver and a tap with a hammer.

After that, we just shook out all the pieces.

Took us about an hour because I was afraid of cracking the outer glass.

On a side note, does anyone know where to get an LED festoon globe for the corner lights? The goldy halogen look lets it down a bit

I have an ebay 4300 kit in my S15 (projector headlights) and they are one of the best mods I ever did.

However, I tried them in my Legnum and the beam sprayed eveywhere due to the type of headlight, giving a worse result than the factory globes. So I wanted to check the result wasnt going to be similar to the Legnum.
