it's not that far. in fact I bought my silvia in melbourne. it's a good chance to fly down, pick-up car, then enjoy one of the nice vic race tracks and then drive it back. :) seems like pretty good value to me too.

That's true, but I had a mate who bought his car from ACT and drove it back and have heard nothing but negative comments when it comes to transfering the rego to NSW via RTA :(~

If someone can convince my differently then I may fly down :D

i'm not familiar with nsw rta,

a friend of mine recently bought a VW bora from nsw, when it arrived in melbourne he took it to vicroads with a rwc and the reg transfer form and that was it.

it would be worth checking with the rta to see if the fact that the car is an import will subject it to more scrutiny...

the vass certificate that comes with the car may or may not be relevant in nsw, but the car is already registered so it "shouldn't" be an issue.

thanks,

greg

    • thanks, will conduct myself accordingly. i unfortunately put about 150 miles on the car before reading this thread again, however no PS issues, and definitely no turbo issues. it spools normally and still feels fast to me, probably because my previous car was an N/A auto sedan...gonna go fix the PS vacuum line though lol. safe to say, got what i came to this thread for. thanks
    • Agreed, I've never seen a 260RS specific manual. As GTSBoy said it will mostly be stagea other than the engine loom https://www.hgeconsulting.com.au/stageaservicemanual.pdf
