Hi ryan,

Yeah I looked when you put your stag up for sale and had a squiz at price and mods ect.... Its a well modded car but the mods dont hold value much at all. What you would be asking is more if it was completely stock and then body condition. Seeing as its not leather ect id be re considering to. For sure if someone is after a modded car and knows about what parts are good ect sure they will snap yours up.

my 2c

yeah, i reported my own forsale thread with a copy and paste to see if it can be modified, i am going to put it up for 14k, then if someone offers me around 13 or whatever then i will talk to them about it.

$13k is criminal for a well sorted S1 such as yours. Sheeit, they just don't hold any value do they?

You might get some more bites from the leadfoot crowd if you also post a power-output.

But my recommendation is; don't sell it - keep it until it wears out!

if it doesnt sell and i get a loan for this other car, and i can manage the repayments with the higher rent for 16months(til my wage doubles), then i will keep it :(

a stocky is 10ish, add timinig kit and mods.... someone is about to get a f**king bargain, spread the word, I have a beautiful bottle of red that i might offer as a finders fee, from a local vineyard, was there best ever... i only have three bottles stashed :) and is prob more pleasing than a cash finders fee(which is also on offer)

unless it sells on here, the mods are worthless and will probably bring it's value down (people assume its been hooned/thrashed and will walk off).

Best thing to do is put stock stuff back on and sell the good bits on here. plenty of people would love to get their hands on the bilstein setup now they are not readily available

ryan,

Was only thinking after I got off computer to do what duncon said.

Pull the parts off and return it to stock. Sell your aftermarket bits and pieces.

Best option IMO to get a. the most of your money back as possible, b. a quick sale as you can drop asking price :(

I have all stock bits except for the shocks... i refuse to put it on carsales, i couldnt bare for it not to go to an enthusiast, its on here and NS(gulp).

MIGHT go on carsales if i get desperate tho... i think that is how AlexCim's sold. I could put it back to standard except for the shocks, but I really dont want to seperate what i fell is an awesome package

yeah whack it on carsales. thats how I sold mine and I sold mine for 14k with a few mods, suspension, safcII, EBC... the best stereo I've ever had, and that was when the market was giving 8-10k for stock

You're never going to get a quick sale with them, as people don't even know they exist.

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
