What condition are your pads in? If you have plenty of meat left on them, I'd say you'd be fine, definately flush the brake fluid though and check the pressures in your tires

ah k rears are good front is low and theres bit (large) of a lip on the rotor, friend said it wouldn't need to be changed (rotors) but i really have no idea

Id start with tyre pressures around 26psi as they will raise to over 40 when hot. Otherwise you'll be skidding like a mofo.

I'll go high like suggested and let air out if i need to.. and go get pressure checker thing.. do we need to bring the receipt with us? cos i have no clue where I've put mine haha

^^ that article is all good and well but he still needs the 'G Sensor'

Not necesarily, the computer just needs a voltage input which theoretically could be from any source - not sure what else would go wrong though... :D

Is all beyond my skills to be honest but would be interesting to find the answer either way.

receipt on the day is not necessary, but if your name's not on our list, you won't be able to drive

you'll need to bring your driver's licence though.

Ok i know you have told them to resend the reciept to my email but checked it today and still no email with the reciept....so i have PMed you

Thanks mate

Oh well i start with 25 psi and my pressures are above 42 psi after i come off from the 5th lap and thats with my Hankoon Venti S1 street tyres 275/35/19.

damn those are wide tires.. had 235(F) & 255® b4, but gone to 235(F) & 245®

just about to order some new engine mounts and some acre brake pads. hopefully they get here before tuesday.

:EDIT: and 20 minutes later, pads are ordered and paid for, just waiting on a reply from driftshop for the engine mounts. $279 for 2 urethane mounts beats the shit out of $430 for 2 oil filled genuine nissan mounts.

car overheated on the way to nightshift last night(was driving peacefully). looked down at temp gauge and was like wowzer had to dump the car and wait for a mate.. picked it up and drove it home this morning no problems so i got no idea what to.. do.. oil is fine and coolant is good so :S :EDIT: overflow bottle is empty :S going now to see if i can buy more and top it up

My rims on the GTR are 10.5" wide all around. So 275's front and rear, who says 34GTR's dont have wide guards :(

you not the only 1 with 275s mate :P mine are only 18s though

PMed you before about it but will PM you again

thanks man

there may be some confusion about helmets arising from a recent email from Dean at John Bowe - the original promotion for this event was that helmets were not mandatory. i have just spoken with Dean a few minutes ago and he confirms this, but we agreed that you are welcome to use a helmet for the higher speed sessions in the afternoon.

so helmets are not mandatory required equipment, but you can use one if you have one. Dean sent out an email to this effect while i was on the phone just now.

other than that, please read the receipt / Booking Confirmation that he has emailed you and go through the checklist again.

i'll email/PM everyone details on meeting up in the morning if you want to go up to Mallala with a group. any other problems, please let me know.

    • Ok thanks..that was my second question if i can somehow bypass this even with Nistune(that is all i have right now...aparat from stock ECU. So with some aftemarket it can by "bypassed" or make it work?  I know there is Link or Haltech (mainly used). We have ECUmaster here so i will gather some info about it.
    • Yes. You will need to get the original boost sensor and wire it in. That is.... if you plan to use a stock ECU - even a Nistuned ECU. The Nissan ECU will not operate correctly without it connected. And yes, it will do annoying stuff like you are experiencing. You will almost certainly be better off with some aftermarket ECU, than trying to hunt down rare sensors.
    • Ok so ABS/TCS is "not" the problem. Yeah i know now about the ABS with Nistune(i told that to the Nistune guy) but iam not 100% why or why i dont have ABS. ABS cube is in the engine (always has been) but i had braked couple of times rly hard and brakes just locked and scream. Does all Skylines have ABS cube? That boost sensor https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/367633-wtb-r34-gtt-turbo-pressure-sensor-pics-inside/ Is this it? I need to ask but i have a picture of engine bay and i do not see that (100% is not in that place) If i do not have this the car can do what mine is?(cutting around 4000 rpm) Here is the pic of my engine bay(only one i have) BUT i think i dont have that cuz loom was used from my RB20DE NEO and i know (obviously) that it does not have boost control or any wire to that...) so maybe that is the problem? (i dont know for 100% if that car where the engine is from had that)...but i dont have the loom from that
    • I'm with you here. It's either loom has an issue, OR, injectors are not functioning properly. It could even be they're just constantly dribbling, hence the wet, but not firing.
    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
