You reckon it's worth mucking around with the water-meth if you go the nitrous? How you going to setup the car with both? Have the water-meth kit switch off when the nitrous kicks in?

water meth for the street with higher boost then lower boost and run nos and turn off water meth or run them together cos you can

100hp shot of gas. Lenghten the lines between the solinoids to the fogger for a "softer" hit. Make shure your fuel pump can flow enough fuel for the extra 100hp.

More power

Cooler intake charges

No waiting to get your head back and get the car on the road

Faster spool up

Upgradable system, for future power gains/reliability

Paint the bottle yellow and tell the cops it's a fire suppression system??? ha ha ha

Like any power adder, as long as you tune it right your motor should live a long happy N20 life. I raced for two seasons with N20 on a 400rwkw 15yo 26 without a hiccup.

I love gas!

If you're using a crude, generic nitrous kit (like all of the ones listed in this thread so far) then lengthen the line from the nitrous solenoid and leave the fuel one short.

I think my stance on Nitrous vs. other mods is fairly well known.

whats not a crude kit

Highpower Nitrous Systems from the UK and to a (much, much) lesser extent, the new NX stuff.

Yes. The differences are too numerous to list here. Focus your attention on the Pulsoids compared to generic solenoids and you'll be on the right track. You can set up a generic NOS or NX or Zex kit to work well but you should have a good understanding of nitrous beforehand.

haha, when i saw this thread i wondered if you would be lurking in here Adrian......

just curious if the engine is built and has forged internals, if so why are we talking about 75 and 100 pills? shold be multipying these amounts by atleast 2.

i just want to get use to the car running nos before i use 100 and up.cos by the looks of it i am going down that road

Nick, go E85 buddy. For the street there is no comparison.

As we have very similar setups im now making 470rwhp at 19psi. Fuel system i bit bigger to yours though i think :)

If i were to choose though, id go the headwork.

Looks like you are on the NOS path :bunny:

Hmm never heard of those UK nitrous systems. Are there Aus suppliers of those Highpower Nitrous Systems, or do you have to buy direct from the UK? If so, wouldn't the price be a lot more compared to your generic $800 NOS, NX wet systems?

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
