about the 10 Gb thing..

I have an 80gb Ps3, for the last 3 yrs...... i was just wonderring if when u upgrade the HDD in the PS3 to 500GB, can you transfer all your files over, including saved game data??????

I want a new Hardrive cause my current one is almost full of movies.

You can connect a flash drive to your ps3 and copy your save data on to that. But some won't allow you to copy it.

EB and JB also updated the gt5 release dates a few days ago to the 4th, which we now know is true.

recently I bought a mybook world edition "white light" as my PS3 was getting full too. This thing is great, you just plug it in to your router and the PS3 detects it straight away and all you do is move your movies into the right file on the my book and then you can view them through the PS3 using the movie options from the main menu! 1TB was only about $180 so it was pretty good value.

Man they better f**king fix online play.

So so sick of it.

Wait 10mins to play a race if your lucky, if your not lucky, freezes at start of race, during loading screen, you go spectator mode and have to wait for the race to end or you get a black screen = reset game.

GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

sometimes it freezes just as the cars line up, or you will go into specating mode where you have to sit until the race finishes or reset ps3.

nothing to do with network connection we have it as good as it can be for perth residential.

I'd say every 1 in 5 or so games it happens. but you can also play sometimes and it wont happen at all

How is the issues u are having to do with the game? wouldn't they more be to do with the server that you are logging on to. or possibly your connection at your ISP's end? or maybe it is other people you are racing against having issues that is screwing up the race.

I'm pretty sure its GT5P....

For example, the waiting to join a race is rediculous, at least 3mins.

Why didn't they just make it like a waiting room, where the host can race when wanted.

With the consistent freezing and spectator mode, I don't know how to fix it....

www.scorptec.com - have 2 stores in vic, FYI they have a pack for $475 which gets you a G27 steering wheel (6 speed manual), and GT5 when it comes out, just have to use the promo code of "GGOCAU"

I picked up my g27 and all I can say is wow! cant wait for the actual game to come out now

sooooooooooo with these steering wheels - do you guys use cockpits or what???

im not a fan of wheels personally - i got one for xmas once... me and brother kinda paid halvies and got it for each other... we were all excited about it etc - got it home and realised that it:

A) has nowhere to be placed and isn't comfortable to use on one's lap and

B) is quite a cumbersome device to store in one's junk cupboard.

what eps meant about using a cockpit was do you guys have the cockpit driving simulator things, not what view do you use?

a guy that works at harvey norman here has one. cost him $1800.

i'd like to make one, but i don't have the space to put it, or the money to buy the wheel. i have an office chair with a sports seat on it so i'd just make it so that it clamps to that.

the package is only for the end of this month i think. best to call scorptec

but yeh i bought the g27 got it at home now on the prologue, and MAN THE WHEEL IS f*kN AAWESOME, far better quality then any other generic wheels.. i can highly recommend trialing one of these wheels out.. the clutch / brake / accel are even different spring rates so the brake is a little hard, the accel is soft, and the clutch is somewhere in the middle.. the 6 speed is just awesome you can slam it around a little bit as well..

i wouldnt mind making a cockpit thing up but dont have the space so just use it on my computer chair / desk with my 32" monitor in front of me.. good times

i went into harvey norman on the weekend and put a pre-order on gt5. i went the cheaper collectors edition. came up in the system as $198, but the guy did it at $129 for me (since that is what their site had). he said that there are always things in the system at wrong prices, but it may also be an indication that that is what the price will be for non pre orders.

pretty sure he also said that the signature edition is all sold out (i could have mistaken him though), but he expected there to be a few extras on top of what are set aside for pre-order as he said that other times pre-orders had been sold out they had recieved one or 2 extra for stock.

    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
