for anyone wanting an easy $500,000 and 60,000exp

do the Lotus Elise 111R race in seasonal events bonus race 3. Its hell easy if you mod your elise up a bit (cant use RM modified one but). I fully modded mine and managed to overtake all 11 other cars and put a 1 minute gap on them in 5 laps lol

Yeah they are all pretty easy this round which is a nice change.

Anyone else doing the whole duping thing? I wasnt going to but just though it is an easy way to get a decent car collection with out having to grind so much so I thought what the heck.

the 394bhp rx-7 10 lap tsukuba seasonal race was good. took me 3 or 4 goes with some fine tuning of the suspension etc to get it right.

finally took 1st place coming out of the last corner on the last lap.. took the win by 0.33 seconds.. gota be pleased with that

What is the "whole duping thing"?

And i like the seasonal events. the GTR one was easy once i got the r35. even the nascar one wasn't too bad.

duping=duplicating

Well in a nut shell you aquire a high value car then save your game to a thumbdrive then you gift the car in a trade and before you recieve the car you are trading for you backup your game from the thumdrive. So you get to trade the car and then keep it along with the new car. Some people are creating multiple accounts and making heaps of copies then trading their high value cars for other cars that they cant find in the ucd. It kinda feels wrong but how else am I gonna own the F10 and F2007 without grinding forever.

hax....and time consuming...no ty

Kudos Jonboy...im trying that dam RX-7 race atm......closest i can get is second and 5 seconds behind. what suspension setup did you end up with? im too busy doing dorri all the way round the track. which is fun...but counter productive to winning

make sure you've got aero parts installed (set full rear downforce). i used the stock LSD as i was too lazy to spend the extra time to make the adjustable one work properly and the stock one works pretty awesome anyway. set the gear ratios to an indicated top speed of 270kmh.

fully adjustable suspension, set all to default then:

front camber -1degrees

rear camber -0.5degrees

i think the spring rates were 6.0kg/mm Front and 6.5kg/mm Rear but i'm not 100% i'll check tomorrow.

other settings on default.

that setup worked for me anyway. you will have to find your own groove for that track, its all just getting the braking points down to a fine art, you cant overbrake at all in this race or you will get owned. the trick is to brake later, then maintain part throttle (half-ish) through the corners to keep the steering neutral and the corner speeds will improve big time. my best lap was a 58 something and then frequent 59s so if your pulling constant 59s it should be within your grasp.

oh and of course get the car as close as possible to 394bhp. i ran with 392bhp

i had a go with 2 different ones (both late models). what gets me is that the minimum weight is about 800kg, yet mine with full weight reduction still weighed over 1000kg (i think) so i was wondering if either there was a race version you could use, or there was an early model that you could buy, but i never saw one come up for sale. i think the earliest i saw was about a 90 model.

i'm still going because i still have to get my B-spec up, as well as i still have some of the extreme events to go (think i've done 3 out of the 9 different categories). if it wasn't for the seasonal races though i think it would get old pretty quickly once i'm done with those. it is a somewhat smaller game without all the manufacturer and country challenges, etc.

i started doing the 200km grand valley endurance on the weekend. got halfway through and gave up cause i was getting bored and had a headache. they really need to put a save function in the pits. with the 24 hour races do they really think anyone is actually going to sit there for 24 hours and race it in 1 hit? i can garantee that very few people will do it. hell in the real 24 hour races the drivers don't stay awake for the whole 24 hours, so if they want to make it more realistic then allow you to either save or make it so you have to use some of your B-spec drivers as well.

Just leave your PS3 on for 2 weeks or however long it takes you to finish?

yeah but i also use the ps3 with the playtv, so if i want to watch anything i've recorded i'd either have to wait until i'd done the race (wouldn't be a popular decision with the missus, or myself for that matter), or quit the game.

my new console of course came with a new controller and wow what a difference it made, i actually have some degree of control over the throttle position now. my other controller came with the console over 3 years ago the day the ps3 was released and it's probably past it's prime. although they've probably made subtle improvements since then too

WOW

Just did the nurburgring Nascar (seasonal event) and jeze thats a mind game and a half lol. Trying to think how to go into every corner. Love racing at the nurburgring. Ended up just behind the lead car at the last 2 corners, just couldnt do it, so close yet so far.

Great fun but

    • Is it alright to top up with just another green coolant?
    • thanks GTSboy. My confusion at the moment is i am trying to locate the ignition, ECU battery power and the ECU negative The closest thing i can find is the for the S15 on Page 8 of the Wiring Specialties web page https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9F33_M_GgENQnZ6STMxVmVNd1E/view?resourcekey=0-eZ4nNRwRoqa1qvKlWWHm8A I cannot find the same diagram for the R33 RB25DET Series 2 dash plug pin out.... Do you know what the Pins? or know where i can find the same pinout diagram for the RB dash plug? Thanks for the advice on the box... i like a 6 speed so might be on the lookout or the box now.. a topic of discussion for another post...
    • Will have a look at that. I cant see any leaks
    • Put another overflow bottle (ie, a 1.25 coke bottle or similar) under the overflow hose and see if it is being pushed out there or if it is disappearing into the engine.
    • Staring on a stand is no issue. You just have to wire everything up, give it fuel and cross your fingers that the stand is robust enough. Arranging the inlet plumbing is often the hardest part, without any surrounding structure to hand some of it from. No need for coolant if you only want to run it for <1 minute. As to the gearbox - I think the little Aisin box is a bit stronger than the other small Nissan boxes that went behind SRs, but I wouldn't be too keen to test its limits with the torque of a boosted 25. I don't know if you can retain the box and the tailshaft. The box won't connect to the RB without an adapter of some sort, which is either a plate that will push the engine forward (which is not good for fitting it into the bay's available space) or push the box back, which messes with the box position and tailshaft length - OR - cut and shut work on the bellhousing, which is a long way from "least modification". I'd be buying a new 370Z 6 speed or similar, doing what has to be done to that to make it fit RB (ie, cut and shut bellhousing) and the requisite tailshaft custom/mods.
