Speedo Not Working Properly?

Hey Guys,

I was wondering whether you guys have ever had a problem with their speedo displaying the wrong speed?

My speedo is currently showing half its speed compared to what im actually going on.

Ie speedo showing 40km/h when lm travelling at 80km/h.

Im pretty sure its the speed sensor thats shonked but lm open for opinions.

Has anyone had this problem before and how did you fix it? I did a search and there was something about playing around with the back of the speedo, but lm pretty sure it wont be that as it occured all of a sudden.

If it is the speed sensor, does anyone know where l can get one and how much will it cost.

It may possibly be the speed sensor on the gearbox. They work on a pulse system and if it has lost a point, it'll only display half the actual speed.

If you know someone with an R33, ask if you can try their sensor in your gearbox, it's only a wire connector and a bolt to remove.
