Can the Standard Blow Off Valve on a R33 GTS-T be adjusted to make any psssst noise. The one on my car is silent? Thanks in Advance

Take the return hose of the BOV. Be warned though..this will cause your car to randomly stall and run rich.

Get yourself an aftermarket BOV if you want the wankey psssssht noise.

go Takakaira, there's a brand called 'ATTAIN' that makes an adaptor thingy that you can plumb into your stock bov and supposedly make the 'pssshht' sounds of the aftermarket ones....

12800 yen for one of those things...you can pick up a 2nd hand bov for that.

i guess maybe the police wouldnt know what it was? thats an advantage..?

fit a pod filter. The noise will come out the filter with no airbox to muffle it. If you really want the noise. otherwise let people think its a non-turbo till you blow them away!

Yeah if you change your standard filter and airbox setup to a pod then you will definately hear the standard plumb back BOV sound. However pod filter with no sourround is defectable and a couple of my friends have recieved defects for this but then again a number have just had warnings. If you decide to get an aftermarket BOV you will get backfiring if you are running manament which still requires an AFM such as SAFC or standard ECU. Aftermarket BOV won't make you run rich just that it vents air to the atmosphere that has already been "counted" by the AFM so the ECU accounts for that amount of air being there and when it's not too much fuel is injected and it flows through exhaust manifold, hits hot exhaust turbine and bang, you got nice flame out exhaust and fu(k off loud noise. hope this helps.
