and roo, man... all that grandstanding and you still didnt win...? c'mon.

Grandstanding? What grandstanding? and I'm sorry ... where did you finish the race? :P

It was we older blokes who put you guys to shame ... shame, shame, shame

Congratulations to Andrew and Scott ... then myself and David coming in second, around 14 seconds behind them after 160 laps. For 36+yo and 85+kg "old blokes" we did alright eh? :bunny:

My last 20 laps session was a load of fun. Drivers getting desperate, lots of nudging, rubbing and fighting. Congrats to those who just got thru without breaking a kart. :P

Me and my mates hit up the Havelock afterwards for a mate's birthday. Boy did we get hammered. Got home at 4am and I've only just woken up. Not sure if my guts are bad from the drinking or the karts ... or both.:laugh:

some days of thunder qoutes :P

Harry Hogge: Cole, you're wandering all over the track!

Cole Trickle: Yeah, well this son of a bitch just slammed into me.

Harry Hogge: No, no, he didn't slam you, he didn't bump you, he didn't nudge you... he *rubbed* you. And rubbin, son, is racin'.

Harry Hogge: All right. While we're still under a caution, I want you to go back out on that track and hit the pace car.

Cole Trickle: Hit the pace car?

Harry Hogge: Hit the pace car.

Cole Trickle: What for?

Harry Hogge: Because you've hit every other goddamned thing out there, I want you to be perfect.

^ motos lex ruby n scandy lived by on the track :bunny:

felt a bit bad for that chick out there she took some hits i seen.

any 1 get a copy of the lap times?

i appeared to be spanking the 2nd place getter for quite some time around the track when he didnt like my clean passing tactics down the straight n pushed me into the wall hmmz who could that be ruby ya punk ass  atleast he didnt attack me with the blue mesh

oh good fun. was rough out there, love it haha. so funny sitting on someones ass of an entire lap and pressuring them into making a mistake.

i was with a disadvantage out there with my *cough* +1. but i was averaging pretty good lap times and managed to get up a few positions. oh well all good fun.

Now I know you are lying ... there were no clean passes last night.

I was being nice and playing nice last night ... until my last 20 laps. :P Even Adrian "got in my way" a few times. :bunny:

I would have to disagree both krishenell and myself had a great battle, we didnt hit some unlucky nudges we both tried to avoid but all out great battle.

Lol I was glad to stay away from all the hits (ADRIAN) altho he didnt get me a beauty that spun me

i did heaps of clean passes specially on those last laps, took someone on the outside the turn after the grid was by far the best i did. no rub just ownage

passed scandy a few times just dodge his damn drifto buisness and get him next straight, some of us are light wieghts here

Those carts are too uneven for a proper contest. The first cart Anthony & I were in had about an inch of movement in the steering column (up & down) which made it very difficult to steer. Not surprisingly the steering cable snapped and put Anthony under the railing causing us to be lapped 3 times and forcing a cart change. The 2nd cart was significantly underpowered and cost us an extra 2 seconds per lap. Plus Anthony was injured when the cable snapped and I'm not even sure who drove the last leg of the race for us.

Kudos to Krishy for organising a great event. I had a lot of fun until getting pummelled twice with only 2 laps to go. Back is sore today after the Showdown but at least the Crows won.

And Scandy, the 2nd cart I drove had a much wider seat and I was sliding in it when cornering. Like I said, the carts are too uneven for a proper contest.

na damo, doesnt bother me we came last, i was out there to have a good time, as we did.

got a huge f**k off bruise on my right shin and calf from going under adrians kart, thanks to someone unkown.

thought i was out if the race for sure after that as i couldnt feel my toes !!

took a teaspoon of harden the fck up and continued on.

we have to go to the fast karts down south somewhere next time! no more of this whipper snipper motor bullshit

lol, i shoulda borrowed some of that htfu.

covered in bruises, not so rad, left heel was straight black and blue as soon as i got home, backs bruised to all f**k, sides are the same...

... who'da thought karts were a higher contact sport than boxing? haha.

def keen for paintball as the next 'hey lets try and kill each other to death' activity though.

Had an awesome time thanks Krishy....

Still kicking myself we pitted on the 159th lap haha. With that and a snapped chain with forced cart change still managed to come 3rd... Swear some of you guys need to harden up with some of ur passing techniques

Was loving the 3 car pile up between Kirshy myself and someone else haha my backs almost back to normal!

You need to HTFU with being passed (read: nudged) or GTFO of the way

Great night Krishy ... but somehow I don't think Richmond will have us back again ... how many karts did we break? Three, four? :)

haha as soon as I was nudged I generally slammed on the left pedal ... apparently they were the brakes...? didnt seem to work after lap 30 ish but yeah caught most of the Nudgers out :P

Hanging out for Paintballing... Cant wait to mark some of you up :P Ive got a good 800 rounds of GAP in the closet still too :) USED to go in the SA 3 man tournaments, infact chefstag also filled in for one of them with us.

Can i recommend the fields up at Kypo forest on the way to victor ect....

Cmon guys it is a place - Kuitpo - get the spelling right :P

And yes, I will be organising another paintball day down there in the very near future - as soon as the weather clears up (wouldn't be ANY fun in the rain/mud). I will put a post up in the next month or so, and am thinking a date in October sometime.

    • Not sure the US can import anything other than the C34 Stagea's, but if you can and you need to to tow, DO NOT under any circumstances get an M35 Stagea. If it is just as a family car and your country/state allows it, absolutely and definitely get an M35 (3.5L if possible as it is effectively a 350Z) over a C34.
    • Punch your VIN (nm35-xxxxxx) into Amayama.com You can see everything there quite easily.
    • Thanks for that, I'll check it all out. I can always do the brakes last anyway if its a problem.  The 16's are super cool, if they do fit I'll cruise around with them for a bit.
    • Well, that's kinda the point. The calipers might interfere with the inside of the barrels 16" rims are only about 14" inside the barrels, which is ~350mm, and 334mm rotors only leave about 8mm outboard for the caliper before you get to 350, And.... that;s not gunna be enough. If the rims have a larger ID than that, you might sneak it in. I'd be putting a measuring stick inside the wheel and eyeballing the extra required for the caliper outboard of the rotor before committing to bolting it all on.
    • OK, so again it has been a bit of a break but it was around researching what had been done since I didn't have access to Neil's records and not everything is obvious without pulling stuff apart. Happily the guy who assembled the engine had kept reasonable records, so we now know the final spec is: Bottom end: Standard block and crank Ross 86.5mm forgies, 9:1 compression Spool forged rods Standard main bolts Oil pump Spool billet gears in standard housing Aeroflow extended and baffled sump Head Freshly rebuilt standard head with new 80lb valve springs Mild porting/port match Head oil feed restrictor VCT disabled Tighe 805C reground cams (255 duration, 8.93 lift)  Adjustable cam gears on inlet/exhaust Standard head bolts, gasket not confirmed but assumed MLS External 555cc Nismo injectors Z32 AFM Bosch 023 Intank fuel pump Garret 2871 (factory housings and manifold) Hypertune FFP plenum with standard throttle   Time to book in a trip to Unigroup
