Hey guys just got a project going on just looking to see if people know where I can find parts listed below or who can sell them?

- R34 Z-Tune Side Skirts (Carbon Fibre)

- R33 Door Cards (Carbon Fibre)

- R34 Front Splitter (Carbon Fibre)

- R33 Duck Wing (Carbon Fibre)

- R33-34 Front Guards

Basically this is a 33 that will be having a 34 front conversion done thats why there's difference on parts...

Cheers in advance

Dan

You know carbon fibre is illegal right(body panels etc).

You should probably think before you type such rubbish.

- R34 Z-Tune Side Skirts (Carbon Fibre) - NOT ILLEGAL

- R33 Door Cards (Carbon Fibre) - NOT ILLEGAL

- R34 Front Splitter (Carbon Fibre) - NOT ILLEGAL

- R33 Duck Wing (Carbon Fibre) - NOT ILLEGAL

The front guards might be an issue but are no more of an issue than people putting fibreglass gaurds on a skyline.

Fare enough, my bad

Nuh the conversion guards would be fibre glass not c/f as the whole cars being resprayed quad layer white pearlescent to show off the c/f accessories :(

The main c/f parts cops harass u about is the bonnet when people dont secure then properly as they are lightweight and under pressure can come off and its happened to my mate

An aftermarket fibreglass/carbon fibre bonnet is mainly illegal because you are replacing a main crumble zone of the vehicle. Since your car was factory crash tested with it's factory bonnet, having an aftermarket brittle carbon/fibreglass bonnet on it changes everything in the event of a crash.

Manufacturers rather cars be crashed head on, hence why cars are usually built to understeer. You have a higher chance of surviving a crash front on as there is more of the cars body to absorb the impact and distribute the energy. Obviously there are a lot of exotic cars with carbon bonnets, however they have been crash tested with them and built accordingly.

Actually our cars have not been crash tested, skylines end up with engines in the drivers compartment on impact serious enough. Hence why they are not legal in the US (unless reinforced) We dont have a legal requirement for crash tests. Just recommendations

But its more to do with quality and shattering of the fibres and harming people and the fact they like to bring in laws.

We can supply you with the Carbon Duck Wing, will be back in stock in the coming weeks. They are $299 and available to purchase directly from our website: http://www.psiparts.com.au/detail.htm?ProductID=R33S-DWNG-CF

BTW: PM-R33, that has to be the first intelligent post about Carbon Bonnets I have seen in a long time. For some reason I keep seeing comments about carbon bonnets turning into ninja stars and killing people within a 100m radius of the crash site. :)

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
