gday all,

i have here for sale a complete Greddy T67-25G turbo kit which came off the car which i bought not that long ago which had an RB24 in it.

the RB24 was removed from the car prior to my purchase and the turbo kit is way too big for the standard RB20DET which currently runs in my car, so i have no need for it.

the turbo kit itself is in excellent condition and the turbo has no play whatsoever and spins freely.

the manifold has 2 hairline cracks, but they will be fixed before being sold.

the kit consists of the following;

* Greddy T67-25G turbo with 8cm turbine housing

* Greddy high mount tubular manifold

* Greddy Type R external wastegate with 10psi spring

* 3.5" turbo/dump pipe to cat

* intake pipe

* Z32 afm to suit

this kit would be ideal for anyone that wants to build a very tough and streetable 300+ rwkw street/circuit RB25 or RB24det.

Price: $3600.

will post pics very soon.

* turbo kit is in melbourne. PM me if you are interested.

would be interested in pics of the kit, as well as pics on the car. what kind of power was it making, and when did it hit full boost. cheers

hi there,

below are some pics from when the turbo kit was on the car before i purchased it.

as for power & boost, it never got it tuned to see the full potential as it was only running a chipped r32 ECU, but with the RB24 it felt quite responsive and power delivery was quite linear. It also moved for only 10psi ;-)

i'll get some more pics of each item over the weekend.

fyi, this turbo is a perfect match for the RB25 or RB30DET.

would this be a laggy turbo on a rb25det neo? what rev range did you hit full boost (and what psi) just so i have a rough idea.

hi there,

it depends on what you would define as laggy?

if you're looking for the same response as the factory turbo, then this would be laggy for you.

re: full-boost, etc, like i wrote previously, this setup was on the car when it had an RB24DET (stroked RB20) before i bought it so i'm not sure when full boost came in exactly b/c i didn't get to drive it.

although, i was taken for a drive as a passenger and with the RB24, it didn't feel laggy, and it was only on 10psi.

fyi, the RB25DET NEO is a good flowing engine and it will run this turbo perfectly.

also to add, for the guys who might be considering this setup for their RB20/21/22/23 or RB24, i also have available the following for an extra $400.

* an RB20DET inlet manifold with 550cc/min injectors & adjustable fuel reg

* and chipped r32 ECU to suit this turbo kit

thank you.

gday dudes, i've had some queries but no follow-ups.

for anyone interested, i'm willing to let the kit go for $3300.

again, the kit is in Excellent condition, the turbo is perfect, no shaft movement at all.

what u rekon this would b like on a rb22 with poncams?

I really think this would work well with your rb22 & poncams.

the extra capacity and flow from the cams will help this turbo work a treat on your engine for both street & strip/circuit.

    • Shouldn't need a "base map" for anything other than guidance to ignition tuning. You just need the engine capacity right, the injector size right, and something, almost anything, for a VE map. On an NA engine, fuelling is almost completely a function of load signal & rpm. It should run and drive with a completely flat fuel map. It will be too lean under load, but that's easily fixed. We used to tune all ECUs without any base map. There were no such things (until someone had tuned a near stock engine on one, and then they had a "base map".
    • What did you actually buy/how much did it cost? When I got mine in like.. 2017...? 2019? the aim was to run Torque for gauges via ODB2 and things like Track Addict/Laptimers/Dashcam/Reversecam/Spotify etc. Mine never broke, but I wonder if you've got the same needs (it sounds like it). Cause I liked the idea of being able to do anything with it. That said, yours also cost 3x the cost of what I spent so... food for thought.
    • For me there is a massive difference in manufacturer or big brand crippled android (Sony, Kenwood etc) vs the sort of thing I've installed here, which is basically just a tablet in DIN form factor with open Android, and the other model of course is mirroring - Android Auto/Carplay. I hate the locked down manufacturer and AA options where they decide what apps I'm allowed to install, including the Launcher but also importantly things like Ecutek (for this car) or Real Dash (Stagea) are not supported. Plus those crippled versions tend to be slower due to both overheads and lower spec hardware. On the other hand, when this breaks I'll likely be in trouble for support....but how is that different to owning an Infiniti anyway
    • Yeah, Duncan is helping sell me back to Android devices. I've hated the whole Android head units due to their speed issues. Even in my old Hyundai Kona (2022 model), it behind the scenes was Android, and slow and shitty to start up. Once running wasn't bad, but still a good 15 to 30 seconds.
    • My roof rails are off atm on the E39 until the rust is fixed. I did find another little bit of surface rust under the rails when I took them off. As @soviet_merlin said I'd just leave them alone unless you're planning on ensuring they're properly sealed. I was on the fence about leaving them off as the delete is still a thing in BMW E39's but I feel like the car is missing something (er, it is, der) with them off and I'm looking forward to putting them back on.
