this question is kinda void tho..

Not really, yes we can all drive these things hard, but usually (ie during the work week) we would drive the same/similar routes at similar speeds.

Also, I would assume that you know what you "usually"get, yes?

Yes this is true, 500km on average around town driving..

tho i still dislike the way the gauge works. often when i do fill up 60L is all that goes in..

i'm still yet to settle down driving it... doesnt look like its going to happen anytime soon tho..

Now as for this emanage ultimate.. how much do they cost, are they easy to find second hand.. are there any certain models you need to look for. and loom for which model is the go?

you can get them new or 2nd hand, there are no moving parts so they are very reliable. there are 3 looms, main, injector and ignition. im not sure how they are sold these days since i got my ultimate 2nd hand. and the looms are all universal, however you can get plug and play things so you dont have to chop up the factory loom, you cut up the 'extension'. then comes the tuning

but the best thing is if you plug it in and zero all the settings, you can drive it like normal till you can afford to get it to the tuners........

yeah it sounds easy (it sorta is) the hard part is finding the pin outs of the ECU. i have a sheet but when i metered the 12v out, it wasnt there! so i didnt want to risk it....

anyway we have 1 successful install anyway!

nope i dont think so! only to about 3-3.2k then its locked all the way to........i guess 180 lol

Oh, thats right, you still have a speed limiter...

Thanks Andy, its a bit far to take it, but I will call if the local specialist has trouble.

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
