Hi all,

As you would all know, times are tough, and im currently looking at expanding my business a little bit here and there. I was hoping the mods could leave this up for a couple of days to see if I could generate any sort of interest what so ever.

I've been doing Pest control for 5 years now, and been with two of Melbournes biggest companies. I have the experience in all types of Treatments and inspections.

For this month, im taking 30% off treatments for:

Rats + Mice

Ants

Spiders

Bee's + Wasps

Cockroaches

Bed Bugs

Fleas

Carpet Beetles

Millipedes

Earwigs

Rodents are on the rise again this winter as I have seen through previous clientele this month, and would like to extend the offer to SAU members too!

I can do cheap prices for bulk treatments and also use Chemicals that do not harm carpet/walls/pets/babies etc. Treatments can be done on weekends and weekdays, And you are able to stay while the treatment is being performed.

For more information, send us a PM.

Cheers!!

No possums?

I have a possum problem. Bloody possums. Shitting all over the damn place.

Possums are possible mate.

I would have to leave a cage baited with a peice of fruit over night and check back regularly. Depends on where you live also.

Yeah, that'd be cool. I'm at blackburn north, springfield road.

Is it possible? PM me your rates too, thanks.

I can do those as well. Subfloor? Concrete slab?

Concrete slab. Treatment barrier pipes are established around the house with a few refilling points around. You know those green square plastic caps...

I have a regular company who I use through my builder's recommendation when I had the house built 2-3 years ago.

Last check about 1.5 years ago, I haven't had the chemical retreated since my landscaping work around the house.

PM me a quote, I'll have a comparison... or what else do you need to know? perimeter length? if required I can calculate off the house drawing/plan.

Some are bordering to a concrete driveway, some are bordering to lawn

my womens house has a raised back lawn with sleepers around it and its infested with brown ants, and they have now moved in under the house ! little pricks!

PM Sent.

If you don't mind me asking, Which company are you using? As for the treatment, I would need to do a prior inspection to understand what revision of the Termite pipes have been used.

If you have any previous paperwork from the previous company at home, That would help too champ.

With the treatment, I would need to have a quick look at the setup and how big the house is, As Termite treatments are a lot more complicated haha

We had our new place treated for pests about 3 weeks ago and the guy said this time of year isn't the best for doing it to be 100% effective. He said most pests are active in Spring and through the summer months. We insisted on having the place treated as the previous owner had cats so he has offered to come back mid-late spring if we find an increase in pests and will treat it again as his reputation is to rid the things.

Is there substance to his statement?

Good offer for the club, would be good to see more like that outside of cars too as we are a large enough group of people to have a variety of skills :P

There is somewhat small peice of truth behind what he has said;

In Winter, You won't see as many pests coming out, But they are still there. I see Ants and Spiders all the time this Winter, And they are "apparently" Summer insects. As for Effectiveness, I beleive this comes down to the Technician. If you know what your doing, you can make it an very effective treatment. Season has no part in it. If its raining then I will not treat as that just defaces what im doing; In other words, It won't be effective. You can do a normal treatment for Ants/Spiders/Cockroaches any time of the year and it will be just as effective as any other season.

To be honest, His so called "reputation" sounds like its up the Duff. If a client comes to me saying they have Ants/Spiders in Winter, And ask if i can get it done, I'll get it done and not complain about apparent "seasonal differences". He sounds a bit on the high side to be honest Mate!

Thanks for the word up. Im extending this to all of SAU as I feel it would be helpful and cheap prices in this time of the financial crisis could be very handy for all!

As much as I'd like to leave this here - I can't.

We have paying business that pay good money to advertise their goods, so you must pay unfortunately.

If you wish however to look into a SAU-Vic club supporter/sponsor (offering the discount to members only, vic focused), then that might be a possibility.

The club is probably the better avenue here for you as its Vic only and so on :P

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
