Rear Tail Lights On R33 Gtr, Should They Both Work When Lights Are On?

Hey guys, i have recently bought a 33 GTR, i only noticed tonight that when i have the lights on, the rear stove plate tail lights only light up the outside tail light, the inner ones dont light up unless you have the brakes on, is this normal or has somebody disconnected the rear inner taillights?

Also, wanting to know of a good alarm system to install on my car for insurance in oz? what are your recommendations (Brand and Model wise) Car is insured with shannons, so if anybody can shed light on what the require for alarms for there policy that would be great.

nope, thats how the tail lights should work...

and a mongoose m80s is the way to go for the alarm. see your local autobarn for details on pricing and fitting.

are they different on 33 gtst, the tail lights, coz i swear on my gtst, the rear tail lights actually lit up at the same time when lights were on?

nope same. 33 lights are both on and when you stand onteh brakes they get brighter.

ok thanks chris. the two inner rear lights on my 33 arent working, are they on separate fuse or something or just not hooked up?

i would think that the previous owner just put single element globes in there.just replace them with the normal 5/21w dual element ones.

if you want a good alarm and install cant go past fhrx studios

they will supply an alarm depending on your budget and will do excellent install (i had work done by them and cant recommend them enough)

last time i checked autobarn were expensive , oh and yes both light should light up

ok, il have to check the rear lights. but yeah i was sure they both lit up on both sides when lights were on.
