R34gtt Fuel Tank Question

Hi-- Does anyone know whether there a fuel filter located inside the fuel tank that should be changed (R34 GTt)

Well there's the "sock"on the bottom of the pickup. Depending on the age and mileage of the car you may as well make a job of it and buy a new pump c/w sock.

Who is telling you there is a filter?

once you have answered the above,

i would assume the filter on the 34 is in a similar place to the 33, and that is in the engine bay on the drivers side

Slightly off topic but I have a 33 and I put diesel in it by accident.. We won't go there but I drained the tank completely out and the fuel coming from the bottom of the tank was a very dark red almost brown and it had what looked like stringy black stuff floating in suspension. It wasnt from the diesel as diesel is yellow. I got all the crap out of the tank but just was curious has anyone else had this problem ? (not the diesel the black stuff) If so anyone know what it might be ?
