Ok, I've decided to organize a GB for the R34 bootlid brake light LEDs as pictured below. They are easy to install and this initial group buy will end on FRIDAY 24th of JULY at about 6 PM. The GB won't go ahead unless there are 5 confirmed payments by then.

The price will be $67 (with min. 5 confirmed buyers) or $60 if we can get 10 buyers before friday. This price includes delivery to you in a padded envelope.

The items are ordered via importmonster.com.au through the Yahoo Japan auctions and this is the seller there: http://page7.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g81202991

Please post here if interested and if you can make a payment by friday. Also, item is displayed below but I cannot guarantee the accuracy of the colours as they're always hard to capture on camera but I suspect they look fine IRL and very similar to what you can see in the photo. No warranty provided either - please buy only if you can risk getting a non functional item and lose your $67 (just covering my ass in case some/all of the items arrive faulty ..althought I highly doubt that)

According to the seller, these are made to order and can take about a week to be manufactured. So I'd say if we place an order on friday, they should be here by mid-august at the latest. Any questions, please ask here don't PM unless it's to confirm payment or to get my bank details. Cheers

just to clarify ..this GB is for the '20 LED' version as in the photo. And as I said before, the colour in above photo MAY not be accurate - it's most likely overexposed and the real-life colour is darker (red)

jrm is in I think .. 3 more to go guys.

I'm sure 20 LEDs will do the trick... we're not trying to blind everyone, just replace the normal single bulb with equivalent or better LED light :)

Besides ..the 32/48s look a bit too 'busy' for my liking and they cost more. Just try to picture how small the lens is ..20 LEDs is surely enough :)

+1 on 20 leds being plenty, less leds spaced apart looks heaps nicer than a tonne crammed into a small area, not to mention the more leds in there, the more dull the light looks, going from those images on yahoo japan.

Id consider this gb, but just not this soon :D

(might be removing bootlid brake light and welding over it)

    • Am I correct in assuming that the R35's are getting the classic skyline haircut off the odometer?  Quick search on carsales, there are 33 08 and 09 GTR's for sale, only 2 of them have more then 100,000km's on them (116,075 and 110,000 respectively).  And somehow there are about 25 for sale with around 60,000kms? Looks like the classic skyline haircut to me =/
    • @Stringycheese  Have you only gone to the one blue slip workshop?  There will be a heap of them where ever you live, good odds that the next place you go to will pass the car.  Unfortunately (or fortunately?) every blue slip / engineering workshop will be different and will be happy passing or failing different things - despite working from the same set of rules. It's kinda like 2 lawyers arguing over a piece of legislation, each saying their interpretation is correct. Might seem strange that this happens when it comes to getting a modified car passed, but this is very much a thing. A big part of the game is finding an engineer / workshop that is on the same page as you.
    • Bah. I daily mine. ~60km per work day, 10-12 thousand km per year. What's the point of having a dirty old Datto and leaving it in the shed. It needs to be driven and enjoyed while the govco allows us to do so. It will only be a few years before we're forbidden to even start up internal combustion engines.
    • Judging by that spring perch and the normal looking spring on it - not a coilover. Well.... it is a coilover, just a stock format coilover, rather than what everyone calls a coilover.
    • Yes it is. We get stock from Nismo directly. I'm happy to take photos/video of it as proof before I ship it with timestamps or whathaveyou.
