when clearly these cars are bought by "soccer mums" (assuming your all women, due to the fact ya'll act like biatches)

to drive their kids to netball practice on sundays. i appoligies for the for the moral outrage of doing a burnout on a street.

Right... soccer mums are the safest drivers in the world... tell that to all the soccer mums in 4x4s I see tail gating & speeding in school zones on a regular basis...

anyways,FCUK car salemen, i knew i should of bought a supra, i hear on there forums they talk about power figures and modifications and other HIGH PERFORMACE STUFF.

If by HIGH PERFORMANCE STUFF you mean talking about doing reckless things on public roads & giving the police & media more reason to tough up the already ridculous hoon laws, then yeah, this isn't the forum for you.

if someone buys a skyline and has never had the tires slip even just a little, even in the rain then let he cast the first conrod.

Where do I cast the conrod now?

Nick, come on,

if someone buys a skyline and has never had the tires slip even just a little, even in the rain then let he cast the first conrod.

skylines are awsome cars, lets not go the way of the rexy.

RIP - WRX :)

Your a farking embarrassment to the rest of us skyline drives buddy

Bring your car to powercruise http://www.powercruise.com/?site=launceston

And then you can drive like a tool in your 270kw skyline in the drift comp....

hahahahahahahahahahaha you fcuking loser, its the second stage of run in. anyone that buys a skyline as a daily driver is just another yupi who lost there way from the WRX. fcuk off, dont bring skylines down with your "oohhhhhh i race on a race track sh!t, no one cares, your not a true race'r.

street racing is the only sport you can take pride in these days, track days in perfect conditions are for geeks that dont know how to drive.

ha.ha.ha

I am thinking ;) R33Gangstar's sort of people should not be welcome in SAU... Bad influence on others who are as young and stupid enough to do these things..

Putting other peoples lives at risk on the street is just not good enough nor is it a sport..

Anyway the police do look on these forums so Gangstar will probley get caught out anyway or kill himself on the road or GOD forbid someone else...

Just some links for thought...

Anyway no one cares if you get hurt being a tool, but heaven forbid you do it to someone else...... :)

Safe and enjoyable driving to all.... ;)

I agree with everyone here. we don't need redneck loser's like gangster on this forum or disgracing the skyline's reputation. they are a brilliant car that should be enjoyed for what they are. as for some of the comments from that idiot, my GTR was capable of over 300awkw and i didn't slip the tyres or slide everywhere i went, sure i could have with ease but whats the point? it's a waste of tyres and a sure fire way to loose your car and license. and this is directed straight at you gangster if i ever see you doing something stupid or dangerous i wont hesitate to notify the police (my brother is a cop by the way) so they can come and take your car off you and your license so there will be one less dick on the road

wow. that guy is a douche. just to clear the record.. i don't always drive like that.. I was showing my friend the car and I dumped the clutch and gave it a little too much. I checked several times to make sure noone was around, but failed to see the parked cop car 100 meters down the road. It was f**king unlucky and i've learnt my lesson. Now i'm paranoid as hell about even coming on boost incase i get pulled over for acceleration or something stupid.

What are the laws of that anyway? is it ok as long as you dont spin the wheels to rev your car out a bit whilst staying under the speed limit?

was the douche part aimed at me? you obviously didn't intend to slip the wheels and you're not a tool like R33 gangster

    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
    • Nah, that is hella wrong. If I do a simple linear between 150°C (0.407v) and 50°C (2.98v) I get the formula Temperature = -38.8651*voltage + 165.8181 It is perfectly correct at 50 and 150, but it is as much as 20° out in the region of 110°C, because the actual data is significantly non-linear there. It is no more than 4° out down at the lowest temperatures, but is is seriously shit almost everywhere. I cannot believe that the instruction is to do a 2 point linear fit. I would say the method I used previously would have to be better.
