ive suspected engine pinging of late. Although its seems intermittent. Sometimes its seems to to struggle under full load 12psi. Symptoms arently exactly an obvious engine miss or stutter. There is definate ping/rattle lower in the revs, intermittently. This was treated during on road tune by retarding timing lower in revs (2900 - 3200)....

Going to replace fuel pump ASAP. Ive had conflicting afr readouts from 2 dynos and a wideband on the street. Usually sits around 11.7 (its tuned for this) but has moved into the very lean on a couple of 2 gear full load street runs. Then back to normal on the third run.. frustrating.

Its really beginning to bug me as im forced to putter the f**king car around in fear its gonna blow... im unfortunately considering getting rid of it. A shame because its in top condition and i enjoy driving it.

Is there something really obvious im missing and should replace whilst i do the fuel pump? ive been in a r33 will failing coil packs it doesnt seems to be similar to that at all. Ill be doing the remap again straight after so id like to attempt to rectify this. 200 ATW is all im after id just prefer some reliability...

r33 gtst s2

3 inch exhaust

K&N Panel

EBC on 12psi

ECU Remapped.

    • thanks for the advice on the box... i was thinking the 6 speed was better for cruising on the highway but on closer inspection and comparison the Rb 5 speed box was not too different...  So the choice is going to be the RB25 box... if I can save up and find one at the right price
    • Thanks Matt, yes that's what i am aiming for. Just going to apply the right voltage and grounds to the dash connector. Hence my search for these pins... any chance you know if these pins are in the same spot as the ones on the S15 Dash connector? as mentioned above on page 8?
    • Yes, unfortunately that's the one. Signal was noisy to begin with; after driving once and looking back at the logs I saw pressure constantly swinging between 0-200psi, or staying at 0 randomly for a few seconds. There's a lot of good sensors that share the same look and feel, so don't presume they're all bad. I bought mine for 20$ off Amazon and I should have read the reviews prior, as it's clear they're junk.  I purchased a lowdollerr motorsports sensor.
