For sale is my 1989 r32 gtr. As per my parts sale thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fi...99#entry4751199 i'm selling up and moving on.

I bought the car in mid 2006 from a forum user in Newcastle. It was stock std when i drove it home to qld. Two weeks later it spun a big end and i then started to create my interpretation of a monster street/drag gtr.

The car has had the engine bay completely stripped back and repainted in a custom purple pearl mix. Every nut/bolt was replaced with stainless. The interior has been completely stripped, all the sound deadening material removed and the floor cleaned spotless.

The boot and rear firewall have been modified as per the pics below. I had the boot setup to take a 20gal RCI fuel cell, 3gal peterson dry sump tank, a nitrous system and a custom fuel system. The rear firewall was completely removed and a new stronger section put in. With the new firewall, i had it made rearward of the shockie towers to allow the rollcage much easier placement. With the boot modifications, the rear boot hinge components have been removed, so pins/locks will need to be installed to mount the boot. This new work has a coat of yellow (not my choice of colour :P) killrust sprayed over the top so it doesnt rust. All this work has been done in accordance with an engineer so the car can still be street registered.

All of the glass/windows were removed in anticipation of getting a roll cage fitted. I still have all the framework and glass etc to go with the car.

The car has also had the battery relocated to the boot. It's also got a lockbar installed and the complete hicas system has been removed. The std fuel lines were removed and theres currently a single -8 alloy fuel line under the car, i've got a roll of the tubing here that can go with the car also to run the other line. It's also go a new set of nismo braided brake lines front and rear. I had the wheels refurbed (lips machined and 2 repainted) at Wheel Revolution in slacks creek around 2yrs ago aswell.

The body on the car is pristine minus the odd little scratch on the front quarter panels & a bit of white paint? on the passenger front guard above the wheel arch (stinking workshops). There are a few spots on the floorpan that have some rust but can be easily cutout and replaced.

It comes complete with all the drivetrain, gearbox, all shafts etc. Full interior minus front seats and aircon. Parts missing to finish it/get it running are listed below.

The car is complete minus the following:

- Complete engine (i have a sump but has had the base cutout)

- Radiator

- Intercooler

- Front bar

- Bonnet

- Front seats

- Air conditioning/heater (dash harness has also had the aircon wires removed)

- Abs (new front lines have been made but will need to be remade in stainless)

- Fuel system

- Clutch line

- plus any other little things i've forgotten

Price i'm chasing is around $7000 as it is and the buyer takes all the spares separately, or $8000 with the interior but back in and all the glass reinstalled. I can also turn the car into a running example with engine and fuel system etc if required also, PM me if you have an option you'd like to discuss. The car is located in Ipswich, Qld.

    • haha don't worry I'm sue you've got more fun ahead buying a 30 year old turbo car....but at least you are in the right place to ask
    • some days eh? The keyless entry and interior light on/off with the key will be controlled by the Body Control Module, but I'm not certain where that is or what it looks like (you might get lucky with a search to get a part#, which could be printed on it). I'd start at the A pillar/ Under dash/kick panel on the driver's side
    • It might be hit and miss, but Nissan Genuine Parts and Pitworks are not the same thing, although both are available from Nissan Dealers with Nissan Part Numbers. Nissan Genuine Parts are the OEM stuff, Pitworks are their attempt to get people back from generic parts makers
    • I did end up getting it sorted, as GTSBoy said, there was a corroded connection and wire that needed to be replaced. I ended up taking out the light assembly, giving everything a good clean and re-soldered the old joints, and it came out good.
    • Wow, thanks for your help guys 🙏. I really appreciate it. Thanks @Rezz, if i fail finding any new or used, full or partial set of original Stage carpets i will come back to you for sure 😉 Explenation is right there, i just missed it 🤦‍♂️. Thanks for pointing out. @soviet_merlin in the meantime, I received a reply from nengun, and i quote: "Thanks for your message and interest in Nengun. KG4900 is for the full set of floor mats, while KG4911 is only the Driver's Floor Mat. FR, RH means Front Right Hand Side. All the Full Set options are now discontinued. However, the Driver's Floor Mat options are still available according to the latest information available to us. We do not know what the differences would be, but if you only want the one mat, we can certainly see what we can find out for you". Interesting. It seems they still have some "new old stock" that Duncan mentioned 🤔. I wonder if they can provide any photos......And i also just realized that amayama have G4900 sets. I'm tempted too.
