ItsBoostin
Been looking at these over the last couple of weeks and am starting to take a liking to them. Just wondering if any one had any feed back about them be it good or bad points. Might look at buying one once the 32 is gone....one day lol. Thanks. (OO)SKYLINE(OO)
Farken mad car! Feel the power of the 1JZ-GTE! Nice mid size car with the comfort and power to pull, which was all put to the ground with its full time 4WD System. Granthem
Farken mad car! Nice mid size car with the comfort and power to pull, which was all put to the ground with its full time 4WD System. IMO interior is the ONLY let down. Slightly i dunno, grandpa spec. Definitely not as sporty as a 4 Door R34 interior or anything. However, they did spruce it up with carbon fibre inserts (might be fake, i have heard they are but they are convincingly real looking) The car itself, so so smooth. Seriously they just rev out so cleanly. About as quick as an R34 in a straight line. They are uber cheap in Japan, but because of their rareity here they do command a price way above what you would expect considering how much they cost in japan. Fantastic car. RBwhatever
They have everything going for them, except the interior looks like a older camry and manuals can be sometimes hard to find. Otherwise get one Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/284356-toyota-chaser-jzx100/#findComment-4780857 Share on other sites
Granthem
Yeh toyota made AWD aristos too... there is heaps of crazy AWD cars but they never (or very rarely) bothered to make them in the turbo models. Correct until the second last line - they're actually quite expensive in Japan, and command a premium there compared to the equivalent R34 sedan. Then again, all RWD turbo cars are over-priced in Japan these days, for obvious reasons Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/284356-toyota-chaser-jzx100/#findComment-4781780 Share on other sites
blur
I bought my missus one, absolutely poos all over a R34 sedan from great height. Awesome cars, excellent build quality and engine. I believe the awd aristo's only came out with the 4ltr v8, wack a couple of turbo's on and away you go. My memory says that I saw some at auction for around 7ish grand. IMO thats cheap. Obviously there are import costs, compliancing etc, but I expect most people sellings their manuals for over 20 here in Aus would be pocketing some money. Is that a correct assumptiion or...? melv1n
Chasers are great cars. This was a while ago like i said If they've got a Mark II then possibly, but they really haven't dropped off in price at all. I've got a cheapie on my site at the moment but as a general rule, if someone wants a clean manual Chaser with under 80,000km they're gonna be looking at $20K importing one from Japan. Chasers really haven't dropped much in price over there. The motor is sensational obviously, I'd take one in a heartbeat over an RB25, sorry guys. I felt more comfortable in my 34 than my Chaser though, and while the trim in the 100s is nicer quality, the style of the fabric is awful in the series 1s at least. I've seen R34s in Japan running 1Js, which would be my ideal combo I reckon..
