Buying Aftermarket Parts

shortly i will be doing some heavy mods on my r33.. such as turbo, injectors, coilpacks...

is it cheaper to buy the parts yourself through ebay or online shops such as sliding performance?

or buy through a mechanic workshop? eg: ovaboost, hyperdrive etc.... do they add on extra $$?

from experience, the little bit more for your tuner to supply and fit is worth it, if anything goes wrong it's up to them to fix it. i had a clutch fitted at the beginning of the year, the flywheel was badly machined and caused vibration at low revs. due to the workshop supplying all the parts and they wernt sure of the problem until it was stripped, i ended up with a new clutch and billet flywheel fitted at no cost except for original clutch only fit.

I know some people that buy all their stuff from over East or directly from Japan and save shitloads. eBay stores and Sliding Performance do have warranties, but the shipping puts strain on that process.

If you're up for fitting the parts yourself, buying online might be the best option, but if you'd require someone else to do the fitting, do it locally as said above.

when i upgrade my turbo.. my car will be making btwn 350-380hp

what size injectors would i need??

if i get injectors that are too big.. will it effect fuel economy.. or will it only use at what it needs?

550 to 600cc

all in the tune as the economy goes

and don't get highflowed injectors, get proper ones

you will find alot of chiense fake junk

unless its lights or junk which u dont need to rely on.

always go directly to the seller on ebay (if they have a store, as some of them do)

Got my 1000cc Rochester injectors off eBay, no dramas.

No it will only effect fuel economy if you use them to their potential through spirited driving.
