well I've tried disabling all the unneccessary Browser Helper Objects, but at times I still seem to get slowness or timeouts from multiple tabs of IE, and often it dosen't feel like a 1.5 connection, more like a 256k one! It's strange though because downloads and games are top notch, its just IE / Firefox! has anyone encountered a similar problem?

640mb - with IE and 6 tabs? Jesus... what sites are you looking at?

That is HEAPS, wouldnt surprise me if you are running low on RAM by the sound of it.

Use google chrome or firefox - i rarely see mine go above 200mb with heaps of tabs

ie, ff, and chrome stack per tab/window, chrome being the worst. if you are running vista this will be because of dwm.exe. the way dwm is utilised with windows 7 is far more improved and should abolish the issue you are having. just for shits and giggles (if you have vista ofc), open task manager (start -> "taskmgr.exe", or ctrl+shift+esc), and see the utilisation of dwm.exe. then, open up tabs or windows and check that usage again :D i use ie8 and it does the job nicely. the only reason you should have gone to firefox or opera was because of the unfortunate variations of css before rfc implimentation. css3.0 is being worked on atm and all browsers are to be designed to view the page in the exact same way (thank goodness for making 2/3 versions of sites with js to direct them to the appropriate one! :D )

ps: remove aero theme and see if that fixes your issue :)

+1 for Chrome.

I have up to 13 tabs open at any one time on a 2GHz Pentium with 1GB or ram... with Outlook open all day.

No real issues. Much faster and more stable than IE7 or 8. No probs with website display like I do with Firefox and Opera.

The only problem I have encountered is if I try to upload images to Photobucket. It states 100% complete, but just won't finish for Chrome.

IE, no problem with Photobucket.

I believe it is an issue Chrome has with Java.

    • This sounds like someone who would have owned an R33 in their past... It's okay, I'm 100% picking up what you're putting down Mark.
    • Just back on what was raised about jacking off the the tow/tie down point on the front of cars. I've used it plenty. I've also watched it on a car where you could see it move the front end of the car. It was like the front end/whole car being tweaked and twisted a bit. I will say, I struggle to find good jacking points on MOST cars. The ones that have good points, I then normally struggle to find a jack tall enough to make the car change height!   One of my go to points for either the jack, or the axel stands though, is either a suspension pickup point, OR a subframe to chassis major bolting point. I actually think its the subframe on my R33 that has a bit of a bend in it, from being jacked in the middle too. However, it could have been one of my many other cars I've had over the years! Or it could also be the from me jacking it up, and the fact the top of the front radiator support isn't there, so it can allow the front of the car to move and bend etc.
    • My apologies. I forgot we were talking about weird beard M series stuff. Had been talking elsewhere with someone about an R33 with similar subject and got confused.
    • Nope, I don't like the look of ND RF, or any ND really, I don't like their faces or arses, why, because of their "modern" lines, the NC, whilst "modernish" has a more rounded shape that I like Well, that's how my overly judgemental eyes see it anyway
    • Should be more than fine, especially the overall fuel pressure would never exceed 3.5bar (assuming that thing never gets more than 0.5bar of boost in stock form). According to the chart, it's 11amps.
