hey guys. about the e-01. what is the thing all about ?

info here but i still dont get it. has anyone used it b4 ?:

Greddy's new super multiu-tasker is the Profec e-01. Designed as a combination: boost-controller, data display / logger and e-manage programmer, the e-01 can prcide superios boost response, increased boost, warning meter functions, 3 channel data-logging, and access to all the programming feautres provided with the latest e-manage support tool. Even when used as just a boost controller the e-01 has fatures to smooth out the boost curve. With both an Auto and Manual setting for both external and actuator style wastegates, the new profec can alter its compact, high capacity solenoid valve via various RPM ranges if needed. The large LCD screen, with green electro-luminescent backlighting is easy to see. Other standard feautres includes two preset boost levels, a timed over-take boost and compatibillity with our remote switching system. The data dispaly can view 3 different data channels simultaneously; boost, RPM, or any other channel iput by the e-manage. Up to 3 hours of data can be logged on an SD card while also giving warning set points, and peak & hold values. (some features require optional harness to be accessed).

i got one, i head EVC is better at controling boost but that's the olny thing it works better. I will say E-01 are the best value boost controller in the market.

regard hard to read problem, u can always read the number shows on the bottom instead graph. BTW there are 4 different graph model to view, must have 1 of them should u. With standard over boost warning light, by connect optional, the boost control display boost, RPM, water temp, oil temp gauge and warn u when problem happen, not mention the relate fuction... they can connect to the E-manage and works like a hand controller as well!

how much the above thing cost u to buy them seprate?

a water temp gauge with warning will cost u $300+!!

i have used both the E01 and the Apexi Avcr. and both pretty much do the same thing.

the avcr has gear based boost setting, but no one seems to know how to set it, or have advised to turn it off.

avcr better screen, easier to set, can be more discreet when not in use.

the E01 has the advantage of having a memory card. and can replay the boost figures in slo motion. very handy for setting the boost offsett across the rmp range

i havent had a chance to play with the Blitz EBC, but was told that was the way to go... coz of the Dual Solenoid....

i'd suppose if your going to get the power fc then get the avcr with it..

if your going to get emanage then get the e01. :headspin:

    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
    • So, now all you need to do is connect the 2 or 3x 12v feeds into the unit to permanent 12v, ACC 12V and IGN 12V that you can find in the spot behind the stereo, and the earth, and then it will switch on with the car.
