Yes, it’s finally here!! Your chance to get the new and improved SAU hoodie!! So the details are as follows (there is a lot to read, so bear with me):

The Brand of top we have chosen is Winning Spirit, in particular a 320 gsm 80% Cotton 20% Polyester hoodie with a double lined hood. These will be embroidered on both sides with your name and an SAU logo on the front and another SAU logo and the website on the back (as pictured below).

Price: $58 a hoodie (one price for all). Delivery will be extra and only available to those living interstate (will have to confirm delivery price)

Style: You can choose from either a plain or zipped hoodie

Username: A 1 (one) line username is included in the price. It will be in BLOCK LETTERS (hoodies will be the same price with or without a username)

Colour and Size: Below are the colour and size charts for both male and female tops. Unless there is overwhelming demand for white/red hoodies I won’t be offering them.

Male Plain Hoodies:

Male Zip Hoodies:

Female Plain Hoodies:

Female Zip Hoodies:

This sounds good to you and you would like to order one? I would prefer orders online (either by PM or in this thread) but in person is also fine. Please use this template:

Real Name: *will NOT appear on the top*

Contact Number: *optional*

Delivery Address: *interstate orders only*

----------------------------------

Style: Plain/Zip

Colour:

Size:

Username: *name you want to appear on the top, leave blank for no name*

Quantity:

If you want to order multiple hoodies but they are each slightly different you MUST copy/paste the template for each different hoodie you want and alter the appropriate fields (so if any of: style, colour, size or username change). I will not pretend to be a mind reader!!!

Payment: I will require payment in full and up front but to add a twist to this I’m not going to be able to accept payment by EFT from locals (if your interstate, don’t worry, I’ll make an exception for you). This has to do with a strange set of personal circumstances, my apologies for any difficulties this may cause you guys but it’s just the way it has to be done.

The last day for orders/payment will be at the SAU:SA dinner on the 9th of October. For interstate people just be aware that that’s a Friday and I will need clear funds, so don’t transfer money to me later than Tuesday the 6th. Just so your aware, you can catch me around town/at Villis, I’ll make myself readily available so there is no excuses for not being able to meet up!

Delivery: With any luck I hope to have a 2 week turn around time from the 9th. Once they are done I will let people know and the can come get them from me (probably at Villis)

Now, for those of you wanting to get your replacement hoodie from the last group buy done I’m willing to help you out. The cost will be $38 and what I need from you is when you order to use this:

Real Name: *will NOT appear on the top*

Contact Number: *optional*

Delivery Address: *interstate orders only*

----------------------------------

Hoodie: I will get you my Adrian/Damo hoodie

Size: *I need this just so we don’t get hoodies mixed up*

Style: *I need this just so we don’t get hoodies mixed up*

Username: *name you want to appear on the top, leave blank for no name*

Then you will need to not only give me the money, but the hoodie at the same time!! If I only have 1 or the other, I wont put your order in and it’s your responsibility to get me both of them!

Just note: I’m only offering this for the people who have tops done from the last group buy, so no, you can’t go and buy XYZ brand top and give it to me as I wont take it.

Q. 3XL wont fit me and I want a top?

A. I have access to some 5XL tops from a different brand, if your interested PM me and I will get some info/pricing for you.

Q. How much money are you making out of this?

A. None, I’m doing this at cost for SAU!

Q. Why are you selling hoodies when it’s now spring?

A. I was told I’d be getting the sample tops mid June… not mid September, again, apologies for the delay but some things are just out of my control. The important thing is we are getting a quality product right?

Thanks!

    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
    • Yeah, I would have said the same. It makes me suggest that there are other things wrong, such that the ECU is totally unhappy with the broken sensor. The only other thought here is that maybe it is shorted, which might cause a different issue to the typical "disconnected" sensor.
    • The fact that US/JDM plates actually fit the skyline bumpers properly is a big, big thing for me as they are the correct dimensions. Annoyingly you can't opt for a normal plate (or plate combination) in that size. You have to make up your own one, and at that point you'd still know it wasn't randomly assigned.
    • Well, really, that's any ECU, because it's not so much the ECU that the tuner connects to, but a laptop that's connected to the ECU. You have to have the tuning software installed locally. The "remote" part is essentially just remote desktop (RDP) or VNC type access. Nevertheless, if you're looking to upgrade, then you're immediately in the Haltech/Link territory, both of which can be done by any number of competent tuners here in Oz. But without a dyno, you'll definitely also need a wideband O2 sensor fitted, and you'll probably be relying on "auto" tuning a bit, where you drive it around under various loads and then apply the corrections that the ECU learns (basically applying the fuel trims that the ECU has to do to correct the mixtures). Tuning the timing is a little harder. It can be difficult to trust the old OEM knock sensors on RBs, so it is definitely best to have someone who knows what they're listening for, with knock ears (a piezo microphone connected to the engine, and and little amp and headphones so the listener can hear the angry men with hammers who live in the engine). That is more difficult to do remotely, and I suspect the only sane way is to be quite conservative on timing. But that's OK. You're probably waaaaay better off with conservative timing where you are. What is the fuel situation? 98RON available? Or low grade jungle juice?
    • I see your point, I didn't think too deep into it, was purely focused on the price. There's no bad blood between myself and GSM, they acknowledged the price was cheaper else where and at the time couldn't match it.
