R32 Gtr 4wd Fluid Reseviour

On page CH85 of the service manual, it says a maximum of 5mm air height is allowable, without explaining how it's obtained or eliminated.

Before I start bleeding the system, can anyone elaborate what it's for, how I eliminate or create it (eg will bleeding reduce it or increase it)?
