***DON"T COMMENT ON THIS AD IF YOU HAVE NO INTENTION OF BUYING, NOR OFFER A SILLY PRICE PLEASE***

For all you keen on either wanting to upgrade your V35 to a BOSE Headunit or just want a replacement to your existing unit, here is a super rare opportunity to buy it from me...

I have removed all items with care (even cable tied everything for neatness) and everything WORKS!!!

Details:

1. BOSE 6 CD Head Unit (I forgot to eject my CDs, so the buyer has 6 CDs as a bonus)

2. Climate Control Unit with the dual climate button (very very rare)

3. Centre Fascia

4. Panasonic CN-HD9000SD Unit. Supports Voice Control, TV Tuner (Jap Channels Only), Jap GPS, SD Card Slot, 16MB SD Card, 2 Remotes, 2 GPS Antennae, 1 Microphone, Control Box (Brain), 16GB Hard Disk with preloaded Jap Menu and Jap GPS Maps

5. Panasonic 7" LCD monitor that runs from the CN-HD9000SD Unit. Includes mounting bracket.

6. Factory Reverse Cam & Control Module

7. Factory Minidisk 6 Disc Stacker - runs off the Bose Unit

8. All cables, wires/harnesses - no instructions, I have neatly rolled the wires back up (took me 2 hours).

9. I'll even throw in the Radio FM expander

Please submit to me your best offer (only offers above $400 considered). Just the replacement BOSE headunit alone is worth $300 minimum. Closing date is 31 Oct 2009. If I don't get what I am after, it will go onto ebay.

Conditions of sale:

1. Buyer pays for postage. I prefer local pickup (Melb west side) so I can show you a rough outline of where everything fits.

2. Buyer needs to swap me their cubby box (in lieu of mine as mine will have the predrilled holes for the LCD mounting bracket)

3. Buyer needs to give me their cubby box lid (as they won't need it, the LCD screen and surround will fully cover the cubby box area)

4. Buyer needs to swap me their centre armrest glove box (inner unit) in lieu of mine as mine will have the predrilled holes for the Minidisk Stacker).

The fine print:

1. Everything WORKS, no 'ifs' no 'buts'...

2. No returns, buy as-is, ask as many questions to satisfy yourself...

3. Although a great deal of care has been taken to neatly roll the cables, etc, I cannot provide you with installation instructions and any advice given is at your own risk.

Pics as follows. If you need a pic of a particular item or area, let me know.... siu_loong_bao at hotmail.com or 0403 347 739 after 5pm.

1. 16gd hard drive can store mp3 and stuff...i can't get it to run becos of the japanese. however, managed to get the mp3 to play. any doubts, pls go download the manual...if i get the money i want for the whole lot, i'll throw in a portable 2.25" HD case to unplug the hard disk into the case for use on the pc...

2. yes, offers of over $400 for the whole lot as shown, plus the factory camera (not pictured)...please note the conditions of sale.

ok....

some birdy (thanks!!!) told me the following:

1. The CD mechanism is worth $700 alone...

2. The unit will only work with a car equipped with BOSE...so do your homework (if u r thinking to upgrade)

3. The 16GB hard drive is automotive grade (not the average units found in a laptop) and is worth $100 alone

4. The OEM reverse cam is worth $800 new ex Japan

So offers over $400 is a bargain.....

pic of reverse cam:

cam01.jpg

Sure I will seperate...$400 per item... :)

Honestly, if I seperate, the other stuff will be useless...so I'd rather see it go to a good home on a V35...

All of those with a Bose headunit should be snapping up this deal - i can't stress how expensive it is to get a Bose unit fixed when it stuffs up...So a good spare, plus the added benefit of a reverse cam, MD stacker...

Another thing, becos the MD stacker is the OEM unit, it runs via the CD button and appears as "MD" on the Bose display screen (from memory, that is what it did).

As to the MP3s, the Panasonic unit plays MP3s. There's heaps of piggy back harnesses and wires/cables (as shown), so I don't know how the installer managed to get everything running in unison with each other....This is why I cannot offer any installation help, it's beyond my technical capabilities...Getting it out and sorting out what/what-not to remove and installing a double DIN was a challenge in itself.

Back to the listing....Any takers?

The OEM Bose amp is currently being used, so, "no", amp not included, please refer to listing....

Happy to also throw in a Bose headunit harness that converts to RCA outputs (depending on the final price being offered). You'll need to figure out how to integrate it though...

Ok...

Update, Some of you pointed out the fact that those with an existing Bose system will not have the cubby box nor the cubby box lid....Very valid...

Hence, all conditions of sale are now cancelled. You only pay for postage on top of your offer....

Also, not interested in seperating at this point in time...The whole lot is virtually at a giveaway price....

duuno what is so hard about this...

the bose unit is the AC controls and radio only. the rest of it will transpose onto what he's offering. teh only exception is the bose/ non bose issue. the rest of it usable. the camera interface is useable as well.

  • 2 weeks later...

hmm... i wish that there was some way that skylinesaustralia had a dedicated area that was solely for selling car parts and related items...

like some sort of a sub forum ya know?? i mean we really should have one with all the members we have...

don't you guys agree? that we should set up a for sale area? someone should get onto someone about it...

That idea has been out for a while, due to some reason, the admin team decide to put for sale within the " V" form..

I am OK with it as there are only a few for sale or to buy request came out every week.

    • Bit of a pity we don't have good images of the back/front of the PCB ~ that said, I found a YT vid of a teardown to replace dicky clock switches, and got enough of a glimpse to realize this PCB is the front-end to a connected to what I'll call PCBA, and as such this is all digital on this PCB..ergo, battery voltage probably doesn't make an appearance here ; that is, I'd expect them to do something on PCBA wrt power conditioning for the adjustment/display/switch PCB.... ....given what's transpired..ie; some permutation of 12vdc on a 5vdc with or without correct polarity...would explain why the zener said "no" and exploded. The transistor Q5 (M33) is likely to be a digital switching transistor...that is, package has builtin bias resistors to ensure it saturates as soon as base threshold voltage is reached (minimal rise/fall time)....and wrt the question 'what else could've fried?' ....well, I know there's an MCU on this board (display, I/O at a guess), and you hope they isolated it from this scenario...I got my crayons out, it looks a bit like this...   ...not a lot to see, or rather, everything you'd like to see disappears down a via to the other side...base drive for the transistor comes from somewhere else, what this transistor is switching is somewhere else...but the zener circuit is exclusive to all this ~ it's providing a set voltage (current limited by the 1K3 resistor R19)...and disappears somewhere else down the via I marked V out ; if the errant voltage 'jumped' the diode in the millisecond before it exploded, whatever that V out via feeds may have seen a spike... ....I'll just imagine that Q5 was switched off at the time, thus no damage should've been done....but whatever that zener feeds has to be checked... • I think Fitmit had some, have a look on there (theyre Australian as well)
    • Hah, fair enough! But if you learn with this one you can drive any other OEM manual. No modern luxury features like auto rev-matching or hillstart assist to give you a false sense of confidence. And a heavy car with not that much torque so it stalls easily.
    • Actually, I'd say all three are the automatic option. Just the different trim levels. The manual would be RSFS, no?
