The Skyline GT-R 'N1' model, introduced on July 19, 1991, was designed for home-market N1 racing with a total of 228 units produced. The most notable change was in the engine, which was upgraded to the R32-N1 specification. The car was also lightened by the removal of the ABS, air conditioning, sound system, rear wiper, trunk carpet, and the use of light-weight headlights. No color options were available and all 'N1' cars were delivered with a thin layer of Crystal White paint.

anyone got a scopot removal tool i can borrow?

It's called a grease (or plasticine) and a 1/2 inch socket extension, use with a hammer.

Pack the centre of the sp i got and the cavity behind with the grease/plasticine then put the extension in the hole and hit with a hammer. The extension need to pretty tight in the hole for it to work so if the sp i got is fairly worn it'll take a few attempts to work. If you use grease make sure you wrap a rag around it otherwise you could get sprayed with grease.

You could get them optioned with a/c and it would be easy to get it fitted once the car was over here.

I'm surprised Kristian hasn't done it to his R34 N1 (he may have since last summer).

I went and bought a daily with aircon instead lol

"Pete's" N1 has the aircon optioned back in, from what I can see. More info as it comes to hand...

Bout to head down to sprints and get some stuff for my first oil change since owning the line.

Will 10w40 be sufficient? Say mobil 1.

Which oil filter should I be looking at.

Cheers!

I have been using the motul oil supplied kindly by MR. ENR and drift oil filter which seems to work a charm

10W40 should be ok mate.....as long as its fully synthetic stuff there shouldnt be a problem

Cheers krish, currently have a drift magnetic with a nice bolt head moulded to the top for easy removal, will go in search of another at lunch time.

so, i hear that bridgestone are closing down the adelaide plant, bye bye to 600 employees...

feel sorry for these people, while im getting pay increases and more and more perks,

theres ppl out there loosing there jobs, struggling to keep roofs over there

familys heads :(

Yeah heard a little about that Craig, alot to do with GMH no going away from Bridgestones from a cost point. But yeah it is getting pretty tough out there in some sectors, and the Government are not really helping things either.

Kinda makes me glad (to an extent) to be in the food industry, people

always gotta eat.

Yep, and thats why im getting out of the auto industry and into civil construction. People always need roads and blocks subdivided.

hmmm how far do i wanna go with the stripping....

rear seats obviosuly, wouldn mind stripping the carpet and painting the floor, centre console?

ill be hittin up 31 club with all this shit to sell haha.. few pics as of now

thought this was pretty smart, the drty 30 is on gas (will obviously be removed when 20 goes in) hidden filler

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
