LOL.

Having a bit of fun with a dude I used to work with and hes getting all defensive and shit.

His older sister married the son of Drake supermarkets and over the weekend they drove one of their Lamborghini Superlarggas over from Sydney. There is pictures of it on the back of a tow truck after something happening to its gearbox. So I jump in with the $600k and still needs a tow babow comments. Now they're getting all defensive saying if my GTR was powerskidding and drifting all the way from Sydney my GTR would be f**ked too. Obviously not getting that my $20k GTR is 18 years old and is probably yet to see the back of a tow truck he still hasn't caught on.

Oh people that think they have cash are funny.

I fail to see the funny :P

What's happening is what I posted - the HICAS light comes on and off, and at the same time the car switches between 4WD & RWD. I can see the car is in RWD by the torque gauge not moving but the rear end starts slipping. I imagine that it has something to do with the G sensor which was most likely damaged in the accident - way back in June 2008.

Yes the oil catch can has an oil return hose to the back of the head (I don't know what the welch plug is).

I won't be driving the GTR anywhere yet because i) I have a flat battery ii) I'm squirting oil all over the engine bay (and I was driving very sedately Luke) & iii) 335rwkW that switches at will between 4WD & RWD is not very confidence inspiring.

I'm am mega pissed off so apologies if this comes across. It is not aimed at anyone on SAU.

whats the bet the flamin mongrels at the repair shop farked the engine just for you.

get to a competent tuner asap to sort out w.t.f. is going on.

man Id be mega peeved.

Need opinions guys,

14x7 +0 too small for a S13. I love the chassis rails on the floor, flared guards, camber, stretched tyres look but is 14" too small you think?!??!

HELP lol

stock brakes? you may struggle to clear them. think the smallest you'd get over them is 15s

I think you will find that the rear end isn;t slipping but the HICAS is loosing is shit and letting the rear end track where ever it wants, which would explain why the HICAS light is flashing, It could be as simple as air in the lines. I'd also check the fluid levels for the HICAS/Power steering.

    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
    • Wouldn’t touch par if they gave it to me. You need to ask how much power you’re looking to make and then add about 50% to it because that’s what you’ll end up making  The factory box says no more at about 350kw or so, the upgraded synchro boxes won’t handle much over 500kw for long and at that point you’re looking at an auto or dog engagement manual,  once you’ve gone dog engagement you may as well go sequential, they cost a little bit more but it’s worth it  also while you’re at it you should upgrade the transfer case with 10 friction plates
