Will do bud. So tragic. He used to race bikes when he was younger and was an awesome rider. Just goes to show no matter how good you are, shit can go wrong. Atleast he went out of this world doing his favourite thing

yeh - road conditions can change in a moment; never had an off because I was trying so hard not to, yet went fast head down bum up

but cant control the beast at top speed properly now with the knees, Ive had my time and now its time for track based work.

hence the stripping of a r32 rb26dett sedan...

picked this up today for $5

Just heard a close family friend got killed this morning on his motorbike in Strathalbyn.... terrible. Just goes to show you never know when your time is up

Incase anyone was interested... here's the full story.

so it turned out to not even be an error of Greg's... sad.

couldnt imagine how his riding mates feel either, specially seeing it happen.

condolences again champ.

people really need to smarten-the-phuck-up on the roads.

Spot on, just a case of wrong place, wrong time for Greg :P

my mate just gave me a lift to get a new battery for my car... get back home to find my car must have aftermarket clamps on the battery leads cos they are way larger than the terminals on the battery....

/fail

my mate has gone out, now im stuck at home with a car that goes no where LOL.

Thats happened to me before! As a temporary fix I just wedge something metal inbetween the large clamp and the small terminal - metal screw, thick strip of metal rolled around the clamp etc.

role start??

i keep the role playing in the bedroom :P

wouldnt work, would have to push my car up hill, or roll start in reverse into oncoming traffic

yeah i thought about doing that, but i didnt want to mess up the battery. i called another mate and promised him subway in return for a lift, got one with the right terminals on it now :D

    • Bit difficult to follow. Have a look below and see what the standard R32 layout was like. Note there was a restrictor in place immediately before "turbocharged pressure control solenoid" that, if removed, magically got you 1 bar boost.
    • I might be way off the mark here.. there must be a T junction under the manifold. That takes manifold pressure through a check valve prior to the T, one side splits out to this bleed off orifice, the other straight to the wastegate actuators.
    • Carrying out some engine due diligence before my first drive in a 260RS that has been in storage for 10+ years, and found two lines that are susposed to be plumbed into the boost control solenoid. One of the lines (the wastegate boost supply line) to actuate the gates, had a bolt in one end blocking it. The other line (main boost signal line) from the very rear of the intake manifold (RB26DETT) and runs up to the boost controller had this pill in the end of it as seen in photos. Other than the obvious (T28 Ceramic turbos might well be cooked)  Can anyone shed any light on if there is any validity at all with this mod, bleeding a constant fixed rate of manifold boost pressure off through this 3mm hole?  Is it deliberate?  Was this a 90s Jap mod done to RB26's? Or has someone just fitted this without any idea of what happens to ceramic T28s if they are not gate controlled?
    • This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
