Absolutely! Where did you go for this? PM me all the details pls

I went direct to pete at PLMS, he installed it and sold me a licence as well as did a quick tune, all for $500 - still needs a proper dynotune but that'll come later.

If all they did was burn a chip, I'd be majorly pissed.... esp for that amount of money

ok so i have called the tuner AGAIA, and now he says that he didnt think i wanted to get the car tuned anywhere else but with him hence why he didnt put the nistune in..

is there more than one nistune? coz i asked for a nistune..

i didnt think there was more than one nistune..

any ideas what i can do..?

he is pretty much not doin ne thing to help except tell me i should have gone back to him..

the idea is that on occasions like this when i need a tune ASAP and the closest place is boost works then i go there...

If you asked black and white for a nistune board, then he has to provide man,

as far as forcing him to pay out etc I don't know, its harsh but sometimes easier to deal with the loss, spread the bad word amoungst everyone and move on.

Hope you get some coin out of this bastard though Age!

oh im furious..

he says now that he didnt understand i wanted a nistune to be installed..

like how may nistunes are there? i caled a few workshops and asked

"if i want a nistune and remap what would i get?"

they said "u would get a board installed into your ecu and a image put on to that(remap)"

dont think its too hard eh?

I completely agree with you man,

Just ring the tuner up and be completely up front with him, say you want a refund to recouperate 'some' of the funds and see what he says. Be firm about it don't let him talk you out of it. Scare him with the power of 'Word of mouth' :P

Being the import scene, few bad stories going round of this particular 'tuner' and he will loose alot of his income that'll hurt him more.

I doubt hed give a refund, but as a gesture of good will it would be acceptable for the tuner to finally fit a nistune board (if it hasnt already been done at bw)

Otherwise then I suppose a refund of $240 for a board that was never installed would be appropriate

As i said to Adrian on MSN i don't think he quoted for the board, a board + install + tune would be around the $7-800 mark. So what he paid for he got but there was a communication breakdown some where. If he paid $7-800 then he should get some money back.

Thats what I meant,

The idea of Adrian getting a full refund is not likely.

    • Impossible to remove the housing while turbo is installed on the manifold on the engine. So I have to do it anyways. I plugged it so there will not be any debris in there. Will vacuum aswell
    • would a r34 gtr hood line up with gt/gtt stock fenders? after latch, front bumper and hinges are swapped for gtr ones? or would the fenders be too low or high in relation to the hood surface? ( I believe seeing somewhere that gtr front fenders use some type of riser for the sides, but do not know how that relates to stock gt/gtt fenders.)
    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
