Car is booked into Walker Chassis for July

Full weld in cage, Heaps of bars, strut tower bracing, the whole lot ;)

Got my welder mate coming down in the next couple of weeks to do seam welding, drop tank mounts and covering up the backseat from the boot ;)

looking at doing tarmac rally at any stage in the future luke? if so i advise that you get the sill bars done now, otherwise they're a flamin mongrel to get in later on. thats why mine's getting them now and when i need the additional bracing to comply with tarmac rally regulations, its partially done

yep sure is ;) one of the first things i did to it, just gotta have the cooler piped up, boost turned up and a nisstune board and im basically done.... for now

And you said you'd leave it standard!

Cheers mate, I'll add that to the list. Lance was also telling me about A-pillars bars if i should get them or not, he was saying it becomes a bitch to get in and out of the car tho.

Got any pics what the sill bars are?

Damm ppl posting before i hit reply, this msg is for matty t.

please sir tell me more

the sill bars are essentially a bar that runs along the floor pan front to rear..............basically going to protect from random trees that may jump out in front of you. i'll try and find a diagram in the CAMS handbook

Hmmm wheel swap maybe :(

Don't swap to another of the 'emotion' series man - The XD9's suit your car to a T. Unless your going some like TEs - LMGT4s - or vlk GT-C's or something it won't look half as good as it does now!

    • Just throwing around ideas, does it need to be in the compressor cover? Why not the hot side piping?
    • 1/8NPT drill size = 8.7mm. Since the hole got messed up by me, it’s probably around 9mm.    So 1/4” NPT would be next step. A drill size of around 11mm would be preferred there which is not way of my M12 (drill 10.5mm and tap M12 threads)

    • Why are you so adamant on going M12? Why not follow Brad (GTSBoy) suggestion. You're talking moving from a 1/8" size, to a 1/2" effectively. 4 times bigger. Why skip the commonly available sizes in between? The bigger you go, the more likely you are to strip the threads out at a later date, as guaranteed, someone will put a huge spanner on the M12 and really tighten it up, and you're only in thin wall, so not a lot of threads to engage!
    • Hi. Yeah thanks. Car is already at tuners and it staying there to resolve "many" issues they do not like. So it is in a good hands. Getting a good tune on that Nistune ECU too so the car would be good. Just needs a little tune up and love.
