Grrrr what is it with people on the forums selling stuff with comments like 'its the complete kit' and 'everything is there' ... you shell out your hard-earned, it arrives - and find out it isn't all there ....

... and when you explain how it isn't there, show pics of what you recieved, against what you should have they say 'well I got it off a mate - I never used it - he said it was all there - I can't offer you a refund'.

Uhhh wut? How is his not knowing what he has suddenly my problem? He represented a product as something it wasn't which is a clear breach of the Fair Trading act. I really hope I don't have to take this to small claims to get my money back. The item clearly wasn't as described, so I've easily got a case, but ugh - so much trouble - especially interstate.

What a frustrating and expensive experience

Nope, you should be fine. There should be a grub screw on the relocator that you can tap into for the sender unit

Does using a lawyer to dispute a fine to keep your license count?

Because I used Michael Woods lawyers. They specialize in traffic law/getting your license back. Pricey, but they got me through.

I'll give them a call,

Can you PM me with what you went through and rough price on what the whole thing ended up costing you?

i got nfi what I'm up for LOL. 2 weeks into no license, 50 weeks to go - its doing my head in!

what a jip.

bought $1800 worth (incl. shipping fee) of goods, sent on pallet via boat from a japanese port to adelaide

had to pay all up an extra $1100 to get the goods released.

what a jip. so many fees and charges to receive a shipment Id paid for.

on that note - DO NOT buy a roll cage overseas.

unless they cut the main bar, you need to ship it.

but because I had the cage, i added mags, cams, more parts

to make it worth my while. but fees from the docks is outrageous. they hold you to ransom.

if in didnt pay the release fee they'd hold the goods (storage fees) then dispose of and still bill me.

should have split it up into 2 packages. dont need to pay import tax if the package is worth under $1k

Is your sandwich plate billet or cast? you need the thick billet ones to fit a pressure sender unit.

Surely he could tap into any oil line with a t piece and then run a gauge off that? Pascals law says "pressure exerted anywhere in a confined fluid is transmitted equally in all directions throughout the fluid."

    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
    • Harness is for a s1 Rb25det, and it is engine and lower harness.  the old harness had broken off plugs and was in very rough condition/exposed wires and splices etc. it is not able to be put back on the car, I could visually inspect to see if they had rewired any pins on the ecu plug. The fuel pump definitly isn’t turning off it’s an external pump and very loud you can hear it. Will look at the other harness tonight, am also going to pull the fuel rail and watch the injectors spray, will update here with what I find. Pretty sure at this point it has to be something to do with injectors because car will fire up on starting fluid and cas is clicking the Injectors. Fuel pressure is steady 43psi
    • Check the injectors flow evenly, and are actually flowing what you and the ECU think they should be flowing. If it's starting up on starter fluid, you have a fuel issue. Is it possible under cranking your fuel pump is turning off?   The harness you replaced, is that the whole engine harness? Do yourself a test, and drop the old harness on and plug it into the Z32 ECU. It's possible they've wired things different. From memory S1 to S2 is different in RB25 and you may have a wrong loom
    • I haven’t pulled the injectors to watch them spray yet but they are clicking from the cas and all of the spark plugs are wet with fuel. I’ve thought the cylinders were being flooded from the beginning and was hoping fuel pressure would fix it. Tonight I am going to pull the rail and watch the injectors spray. Don’t know how to test/diagnose if the plugs are firing in correct sequence but that should be a timing thing and as far as timing goes my car still has the half moon for the cas can only install it 1 way. And my mechanical timing is 100% correct I posted photos above. Confirmed with the balancer on and off.
