You have to even think about your bearings?

347 stroker...built 03/04...never missed a beat. As I said...lets not fight, not what I'm here for.

You've got NS.com for that :)

Here at SAU we just point and giggle a bit :ninja:

All this talk about the new applebar.

Must say it does look the goods.

Not too many places playing decent house/tech/prog etc. Fumo has some good tunes sometimes. Not loud tho. Sugar used to play decent tunes. half the DJs are on smack playing now tho.

Will deff check it out one night for sure.

couldnt have said it any better.....most of the new clubs open up play cheesy electro/house/prog/dance and once they are relatively well known then they just play shit.....i am a fan of Earth atm with the music being played in there....my mate is a DJ there as well and most of the stuff is really good house/trance....i think HQ has some trance event on this friday might go and check it all out

This man speaketh the truth, he should know, drove the 25 within an inch of its life, then just once beyond an inch of its life.

lol i drive it respectfully... as in hard enough to give me a funny feeling in my pants region, but not enough to drift around corners :)

oil changes are good arent they steve >:ninja:

Yep State of Origin on this Friday night at HQ with Nik Fish, etc. But it's uplifting sort of trance until about 2am in the main room... then it's hardstyles til close which is a bit of :| for me. I miiiiiight check it out... don't know yet.

Speaking of trance, just found my perfect NYD night event in Melbourne. Tydi and Marlo live in Central Park... 3 levels of pure trance with live vocals. Epic! I'll be hitting that up after Summadayze Melbourne.

its hard to find a good club with DJ's who actually do live mixes instead of playing it off their laptops eeech......and i have developed a hating for MC's in the trance scene

MC's in any scene should be shot. All they say is "ooohhh yeah" and "here it comes!" and "Jump!" and "aw shit" and "are you ready for this one?" and "put your hands up" and shit like that.

strobes are for teh gays.

You should had seen the strobes at the Spring Break main room. They were cranking dnb but then they cut all the lights and had 4 giant strobes flashing away for I swear 10 minutes. That was intense. By the end of it everyone was just about twitching on the floor. Crazy.

I thought there was a law that stated strobes in clubs could only be switched on for 30 seconds at a time?

MC's in any scene should be shot. All they say is "ooohhh yeah" and "here it comes!" and "Jump!" and "aw shit" and "are you ready for this one?" and "put your hands up" and shit like that.

Thats a 'hype man', not an MC. MC's actually rap....

you forgot:

- "i cant hear you".

- "here we go".

- "everybody bounce".

- "we are about to drop it".

- "one for the ladies".

- "how you like that one".

- "we taking it old school".

- "shake your booty".

- and then they usually do some little gay rap to a black eyed peas song. ~shudders~

hell, i could score an MC job no probs with that on my resume.

im for a stfu policy on 99% of dj's.

hate it when they do bad remix's, a good dj has already premixed the song its me walking up to a famous painting and saying i know how to make it better

Thats not bad with Tydi and Marlo in the one place......should be nice.....yeah my mate 2J is playing the starting set from 9:30-10:30 i think so it will be nice and uplifting.....i am thinking of doing the whole Summadayze and shebang up at QLD.......so it should be a good time out

DJ's that premix their shit arent actual DJ's IMHO......a DJ needs to do live mixing on his set and thats when you can say whether he is a good DJ or a bad DJ ie one who can mix compared to one who is shockingly bad.....otherwise i could get pre-recorded shit off the net and play it day in and day out at my set's and then i am a wicked DJ.....even though i have no clue of mixing.....get my point :ninja:

*facepalm* im glad i dont go out to these 'clubs'.... i think they call them clubs due to the rage I get when I see posers and feel like clubbing them on the head with a club... amateur rappers suck... black eyed peas suck.... hype men in adelaide clubs suck.... and mcs who dont know what m.c actually stands for, truly suck....

I doubt you'd get a job as an MC steve, you actually need to have what i call 'negative talent' to say those cliched wonders you just quoted, I think you'd be too real for the adelaide public to deal with, their skulls would explode and what not...

I've never ever heard the term 'hype man'.

Every flyer that Australian clubs have for club events (not a hip hop/rap event) all have MC **** or whatever their stage name is. I've never seen something like 'Ryley with Hype Man Steve' playing tonight on a flyer...

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
