i have a r33 gtr power fc in a r33 gtst the car starts but shots right off. on the handle held controller there is only one error. the air temp sensor is not wired in yet.

I think the problem might be coming from the injectors that i have.

I'm using sard 800cc high impedance 1.60ms lag time. I'm not using a gtr resistor pack on the injectors can this be my problem.?

Or do i need low impedance injectors.?

this is the link to the injectors that i got

any thoughts would be helpful.

thanks mate.

check the AFM voltage in sensors check. it should give you a reading even with the engine not running.. if its not working it can cause this.

thanks mate checked and both are at 0.48 i guess this would be mv.

i had the car running on a gtst power fc before and it worked well i'm just checking to see if i can get it to work as good as a power fc for a gtst i will have to use a custom trigger switch for the vtc control.

has anyone done this before? is it possible paul did pritty good he shouldnt stop i'm trying to finish what he started pauls work realy helped me in this process. thank mate.

the mafia (jono) got it working and he did a video of his car driving around

when i did it on mine i had issues with the fuel pump control

as soon as the PFC had power and car was set to ON the pump pump control would constantly reset

so the pump would re-prime approx every second, so it would fire and pass diag, but reset the fuel pump and re-prime

i suspect this is what is happening with yours. cubes and the mafia are the best to speak to. cubes (joel) was pretty cluely on why the fuel pump would -re-prime constantly. check the Fuel PCM wiring etc, i think when you go from BCNR33 to ECR33 the wires are flipped etc?

yeah its quite common, we do a few.I prefer to use the d-jetro though. There are a few guys on here we did it for so you should have no dramas nutting it out.

OK i check the fuel system its seems to be working the same way with the gtst power fc is. i would turn the ignition on the on position and the pump would prime for like about 2 -3 seconds and shut off. Now when i crank the key the pump would run. to eliminate all doubt i hooked the pump up to a switch and turned it on when i wanted. and the car still starts and cuts right off.

with the engine off the sensor check shows me 0.48 for number 1 and 2 afm's this i think is working fine.

I really do think its something do do with the injectors.

Will the car run with high impedance injectors 1.60 lag. with a resistor pack from the gtr.?

does any one know the final ohms that a r33 gtr power fc will be Happy with.

444cc/800= 0.555*100= 55.5% new correction input for power fc.

1.60 - 0.772 =0.828 new latency

everything seems to be in rang here. any more thoughts would help mate.

    • Not sure the US can import anything other than the C34 Stagea's, but if you can and you need to to tow, DO NOT under any circumstances get an M35 Stagea. If it is just as a family car and your country/state allows it, absolutely and definitely get an M35 (3.5L if possible as it is effectively a 350Z) over a C34.
    • Punch your VIN (nm35-xxxxxx) into Amayama.com You can see everything there quite easily.
    • Thanks for that, I'll check it all out. I can always do the brakes last anyway if its a problem.  The 16's are super cool, if they do fit I'll cruise around with them for a bit.
    • Well, that's kinda the point. The calipers might interfere with the inside of the barrels 16" rims are only about 14" inside the barrels, which is ~350mm, and 334mm rotors only leave about 8mm outboard for the caliper before you get to 350, And.... that;s not gunna be enough. If the rims have a larger ID than that, you might sneak it in. I'd be putting a measuring stick inside the wheel and eyeballing the extra required for the caliper outboard of the rotor before committing to bolting it all on.
    • OK, so again it has been a bit of a break but it was around researching what had been done since I didn't have access to Neil's records and not everything is obvious without pulling stuff apart. Happily the guy who assembled the engine had kept reasonable records, so we now know the final spec is: Bottom end: Standard block and crank Ross 86.5mm forgies, 9:1 compression Spool forged rods Standard main bolts Oil pump Spool billet gears in standard housing Aeroflow extended and baffled sump Head Freshly rebuilt standard head with new 80lb valve springs Mild porting/port match Head oil feed restrictor VCT disabled Tighe 805C reground cams (255 duration, 8.93 lift)  Adjustable cam gears on inlet/exhaust Standard head bolts, gasket not confirmed but assumed MLS External 555cc Nismo injectors Z32 AFM Bosch 023 Intank fuel pump Garret 2871 (factory housings and manifold) Hypertune FFP plenum with standard throttle   Time to book in a trip to Unigroup
