yeah a combination of the weather, my ProfecB not working and the wife, led to me bailing. Can't wait for the Nats though - a properly prepared track will make all the difference.

Anyone got some 16" Nittos they want to part with at a good price?

I got a new ProfecB yesterday, so will get that in so I can wind up the booosht :(

Yeah I went for a look. I was lending a hand/watching my next door neighbour in his Stanza (ran a best 15.8 @ 86mph)

Quite a few cars running, despite the weather & other delays. Track prep was as per usual for a Wed' night.

Andrew,

3 x S15's were running (2 silver!) J spec was one of them. "I" didn't see anything better than a low/mid 13.

damn, isn't that always the way?! Would have been nice to see 3 x pewter S15s out there (and for photos). Damn damn damn.

Oh well - roll on the Nats so I can have a properly prepared track for a change. It's a real shame they don't prepare the track properly for the Wed nights, as it means lots of people (like myself and Brute) don't want to run anymore.

hehe nice to see you're quicker than me now Henry :D

Sorry I won't be at the 3rd Jan meet, but will definitely be at the Nationals. Speaking of which, does anyone know how/where to enter?

I reckon I'll give the nationals a go, just got my car back tonight after 3 weeks. OS clutch is awesome!! :D:D

Finally get all 4 wheels spinning when I dump it, not just clutch slip! Bring it on!

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
