Theres this one f**king pot hole at innaloo opposite fitness first that keeps on popping up and getting refilled. I have nearly fell into it a few times when driving my car.

Anyway i saw some dude in a supra fall into it . get out of his car and was like ULLLEEEH WTF FFF WTFF FFUUUUUU for like 30minutes when his rear bar had a scratch/exhaust..

The pot hole is like a meter long by 50cm. enough for a tyre, and i never see the big chunk of removed bitumen around when its a pothole? WTF is it.

Takes them like f**king 7 days to fill it too.

Mill point ramp to Kwinana northbound.

Annoying bump towards the bottom of the ramp I need to brake for. It's a big metal 'joint' in the road between sections.

Lol that reminds me of the above ground parking near Ace Cinemas in Midland. They have those metal things to cover the wiring, but turns out they are also a real intense speed bump. They make them so pointy it is almost a little wall lol

The william st Bridge thing. over the train station. Its crapy and bumpy. i stopped using it. i rather go round the other way.

son of rajab that's a nightmare.

My stupid GPS has led me over it a couple of times. Never again!

i've got the winner guys, if you have ever used a GPS to go down to Prevelly(in Margaret River) it takes you down this sorta backstreet, ALL 6KM OF IT is potholes, took me 25mins to drive through it in my Aristo, which i had just picked up less than 2 weeks before (coilovers with stiff as springs and 19's with 35 profile tires) it was so dam horrendous!! felt like i was going to rattle the car apart! you eventually get to this intersection, the road wasnt on the map, but i wasnt going to torture my missus, my car or myself any longer, turns out that turn off i took led me to the place directly, stupid GPS!

Dunno how many of you have been to Mundaring and Chidlow, that sort of area, but it is f**king terrible up there. And they always fix the part of the road that doesn't need to be fixed, like there will be one little pot hole and they will dig up a 20 meter section of road and repave it all, while 1km further down the road there is a section with pot-holes the size of Europe and corrugations like the alps, and they never fix those bits! F ucking Mundaring shire

Man Its Chidlow LOL What Do U Expect, at leat mundaring fill theres up 6 months later lol

hahaha, i know that pothole. i used to live near inaloo 2 years ago and i remember that pothole. cant believe its still there.

John sanders dve between harbourne at and selby st north, head west along that

stretch of road in the rh lane with a kitted or low enough car and wait for the bottom out

then there's another heading north along harbourne st inthe left lane as your coming

up to the Audi dealer, it drops down then bang, straight back up

and finally if you're quick enough to get the green light and want to live the fast and furious

moment you can sing thru the lights at Hepburn and wanneroo heading west, mate hit

that in his vl too quick once and a spring dropped out :(

R32-GTS (I think that's his username) hit that Hepburn/Wanneroo Rd bump in his GTR and smashed his sump open :D

Anyone that fills up at BP in midland? All those speed bumps and pot holes and small but steep hills that kill lowered cars in between the BP and the Thirsty Camel? Yeh that area is intense!

I wish he F**k they'd do something about that. If you come into the drive thru from the east there is no other straight line out but over the second worst speed hump in the Perth metro!!!!!

I wondered when someone would mention that stretch. John at Wheels World uses that strip as a test track to setup suspensions & coilovers, so basically if your not setup correctly you'll bottom out.

Haha yeah was always a fun spot to hit before I got coilovers

there's also a point my mate beached his commodore on pulling into the deli down the road from

the police station on scab beach rd, haha I had to get out and rock his car onto the back wheels

Worst potholes are the ones where you actually know they are there but u forget while driving over them. You cringe while saying farrrk saaake.

And for south of river people, holla if u been to hungry jacks carpark in spearwood lately. That shet should be a testing ground for 4wd's. you got speed humps that when u try to dodge and go around, ur car actually falls into a dark abyss. should be called the new bermuda triangle. But dont fix it ay, oh great council you. All these missing people out there in the world.. they should be searching for them at hungry jacks spearwood.

Chisolm cres off roe hyway kewdale both directions, as you take the corner i'm sure the car steps about half a foot sideways airborn.

tonkin hyway where the bridge goes over guildford road where bridge starts = airborne in right hand lane

    • Increasing overlap will bring the torque down earlier (and make your idle sound sick lol). Worth a shot (if you dyno time) to experience a bit (providing you are confident your valves won't kiss your pistons). Is to just take off 5 degrees across the boosted area of the map, and then retard the exhaust cam let's say, 3 degrees at a time and then overlay all the runs with VCT on all the way and VCT off as soon as you make positive pressure. Ideally you would have a total of 6x overlays to looks at 0 exhaust & VCT off once manifold pressure is +ve 0 exhaust & VCT on all the way -5 exhaust & VCT off once manifold pressure is +ve -5 exhaust & VCT on all the way -10 exhaust & VCT off once manifold pressure is +ve -10 exhaust & VCT on all the way Just leave your O2 wideband closed loop on for all of the boost area & RPM, and hopefully there isn't too much fuel correction needed and the Haltech is fast enough to compensate (I do this, then apply the correction to the main table). Getting that overlay data should give you a good indication of what to aim for.
    • So, my main limitation here is that the car does not have an oil pressure sensor by default, just a switch. As part of my tune I bought an oil pressure sensor upgrade so I now have access to oil pressure levels and logging rather than just the boolean behaviour of the switch but this means I need to use the tuning app to display this value. So, this rules out using any other app on the iPad. The app will also flash when pressure drops which is a nice feature. I have replaced the centre screen with an Android one, which is awesome for Android Auto, but I think it might be too far away and out of my line of sight. I might add some gauges to it this weekend and just see. I guess if its just temp and oil pressure I can make them massive! 🤣
    • This is what the look like normally. Except we only got the 2 doors locally
    • Back pressure is not really a function of the exhaust itself, but the turbine/housing. So the question/point remains valid. I would be fitting an EMAP tapping point and seeing what is going on in the exhaust manifold before committing to throwing boost at it. Flow. No intercooler is actually rated for continuous operation at any power level wrt temperatures, as they are no actually capable of shifting the required amounts of heat on a continuous basis. They get hot during a pul, then dump some of that heat into the external air (and some back into the internal air) during off load moments/periods). You probaby do need a bigger core, given the power level you're already at is somewhat above the "rating" of the cooler. Put pressure tapping points either side of the core (which possibly you already have, if you have a boost source near the compressor outlet and tapping near the throttle for existing purposes) and report on delta P across the core.   I haven't done the mass flow calculation to see where you would be sitting on the compressor map at the ~450is rwkW level we're talking here, but if you look just at the PR you're running at, which is ~2.8-2.9, then you have a really really wide swath of the compressor map to run in, and so long as you were making between about 45-75 lb/min of flow, you should have really good comp efficiency, with the ideal being betweem 55 and 65. I can't see the need to shift drastically on the map to get better results.
    • Welcome 🙂 The ER34 wheels and slight lowering suit the R33 sedan really well. I'm firmly in the 'keep it stock, at least on the outside' camp.
