Starting a small buisness, need station wagon or van plus Mrs likes little buzz boxes for cars :D

I'm selling my Toyota Celsior, also known as a Lexus LS400.

She's stock, not hacked, and well looked after.

Only aftermarket item put in there was the 20 inch chrome rims put on her. Makes her look pimping (I cant beleive I said that)

208,000 k's on the clock

Auto 5speed

Electric Everything:

-steering

-windows

-seats

-steering wheel

-mirrors (fold in, and adjustable)

-rear vision mirror (electric night dimmer)

-seat belt adjuster

CD Stacker

Full Sound System (stock sub in parcel shelf)

Leather Interior

V8 Quad Cam 32 valve (known for its silence and reliability) (with routine oil services, engine can do up to 1,000,000 kms)

Twin standard exhaust - (as I said - standard, exhaust is usually what young kids do to their cars FIRST thinking they are 'doing it up' hahaha)

20 Inch Chrome Rims (West Coast Chopper Style)

Air Con

Rear Air Con

Illuminated 3d Dash Board

Air Bag Suspension

Sport or Normal Suspension modes

Seat + Steering position Memory (up to 2 people)

2 buttons in japanese that I cant make out (haha had to put that there for a laugh

same fuel economy as a VZ Commodore

(better fuel economy than my R33)

Reason I'm selling as I am starting up a small buisness for weekends while still working, I need a car to be able to transport certain goods. A Van or station wagon is Ideal.. I think my buisness partner will buy a van... I cant really see myself owning one hahah

I will consider swaps, BUT it must be for a car worth less than mine and some cash my way to make up this difference (this will help with purchasing equipment, as I prefer to use hard earned money from work on my house/ family than the buisness, incase it falls through... of course)

Things I would be looking for:

- Old cheap car (sedan, wagon, or maybe van)

- Little buzz box (mrs might like it)

Price: $8,400 onro (or near reasonable offer)

I Live in Adelaide, South Australia

Very sorry as I havent cleaned the poor things wheels, thats why they look dull :stupid:

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
