Hey guys, J's Surf & Turf is the shit! It was just AWESOMEEE!

Although it's $28 pp, you can easily get your money worth with a few dishes.

The drinks were really cheap too, I think it was like $4-5 for a Japanese beer and $2 for a can of soft drink.

But just make sure you book prior, because when I went (friday night) it was PACKED, and I asked the waitress and she said they are like that everynight.

It's a +1 for a sau sushi meet!

Lol, i'm heading down tonight!!

sounds good eh.

Told you that you won't regret :P. Judging by the amount of space they have, if SAU decides to have a meal there, we'd probably need to book the entire restaurant.

However, they have a 3 separate time frames for the buffet. You only have a limited time to fill yourself up before they will ask you to leave.

Well, the whole restaurant only holds like 40-50 people. But outside their front window, I think they have a poster saying that they are extending the restaurant to make it bigger, to fit like 150 people or something.

And yeah, we could book out the whole joint, and maybe even get some discount? :D

As for the time frames, when I booked, they did mention something about it, but I had no clue what she was saying LOL, all I know is that there's people leaving at 7:45pm. So when I booked, I booked for 8pm, we got to eat until their kitchen close, at about 10-10:15pm, so that is probably the best session I guess.

By the way, I took some photos from the other night, but I've accidentally deleted them except one :D

But I found some photos from other people that has been there before:

Make sure you pick me up or some shit... i don't care how out of the way it is.

I'll buy the beer!

From the City, it's about 15mins or so down Nepean. You'll go past the car dealers ( Brighton Lexus, Toyota, Etc) and keep on the right lane and turn right into Hampton. Pretty straight forward to get there.

Best way to get your food fast is to make friends with one or two of the waiters so they will be glad to come back and fill your table up with more food.

There are ample parking around that area too. If the street is lined up with skylines, there are a few side lanes into the residential area.

i felt the tempura, sashimi, oysters, agedashi tofu, and the gyozas were good, the rest were just soso... the sushi wasn't really up to standard

but then again, i don't really eat sushi when i go for a buffet, so yeah, those were what i ordered over and over and over again.

Man!!! Those pics make me want to go there tonight!!!

Id go a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday night... should be less busy. NOT on the 16th of Dec though ;)

You happy to organise Charles or you want me and Adz to sort something out for everyone??

    • Is the panel filter one that is oiled? Have you ever cleaned or touched the AFM?
    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
    • It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
