darrinspencer, my point is that the condition of the cars will be very poor, and im pretty sure it isn't worth wasting you money on, as you would need to fix so many things

I agree there are some poor quaility 15 yr old GTR in japan.

Prestige have high prices

A mate of mine bought his 95 33 gtst from them it owed him $22,000 plus rego.

i admit it had a nice aftermarket body kit.

I payed $12,500 plus rego and tyres

Put the cars side by side and the only difference is the body kit.

You need to shop around.

Buying any car thru a Australian dealer you will have pay a price

That's why they are in bussiness.

we all would like to drive a 34 GTR done 10,000km, but who has $65,000 plus to buy one

I know i don't.

Plus, i drive my GTS-t to the shop and back so if i where to replace it with a GTR YES i would drive that to the shop and back to.... i don't get your point... there are flogged out cars everywhere... there are also good cars everywhere...

this one looks ok... http://www.cineaction.co.jp/japanese_used_...gi?did=10013876

also, i'd never want a car that's only been driven to the shops and back because once you give it a bootfull the piston rings etc are gonna go "oh my god, i've never been worked this hard in my life, bye bye!!!"

ok DJ984 im not going to post in this topic anymore, becuase you don't understand the point i am tring to make, you are acting like a little child, i am right and you are wrong 13_devil.

"we ARE realistic..." -yeap sure you are, you should all make an importing company im sure you would make a heap

so go ahead buy your 89gtr, i was just tring to help cya

DJ984, what i was tring to say was that the dream gtr

female driver - driven only to the shops and back low km , top condition for 15k is just a mthy i have never seen such a car

You will in 2004 because you no longer have to comply them at a cost of $6600

plus they are a bit cheaper in japan now and the exchange rate

12 months ago you would have payed about $24,000 for the same car that you can now buy for $15,000 in 2004.

Would paying $24,000 for the same car be any better.

Think about it.

like i said go ahead buy a 89gtr, and import 100 of them for everyone else and make 200% profit like someone already said

13_devil

I will gladly sell you a car in 2004 for $25,000 if you think you will be getting a good buy because you payed top dollar.

    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
