spark plugs : BCPR6ES. should cost you about $4 or $5 a plug. don't bother with iridiums

oil: something in a full synthetic in about a 5w30 or 10w 40. the recommended weight by nissan is 7.5w30 if i remember correctly. really depends on what sort of driving you are doing and how modded it is.

thanks man umm not that modded just like exhust front mount so pretty standed and im running 1bar boost.

Iridiums last a lot longer but don't provide better spark. If you don't mind changing plugs every 10'000ks or so save money and buy the BCPR6ES

I'v run both my R33's on these plugs without issue :D (both cars made well over 400rwhp)

also the iridiums don't last that much longer than the coppers for the price. i pulled out my coppers after 10,000kms and they were still fine. probably could've gotten another 5000kms out of them easy. iridiums won't last the 100,000kms that they quote. that is best case scenario. my car had iridiums in it when i bought it and they were approx 20,000kms old and they were stuffed. i'd much rather use the cheaper plug and replace them more often.

All very good points, Totally agree that those coppers do the trick, and if tuned right they can serve you quite well, if you dont mind changing more often.

Some Food for thought; (ive got a set of iridiums in the mrs car, been going over 50k already fine.)

Coppers $5 each x 6 = changed @ 10k (max 15k) 50k = $150 @ 100k = $300

Iridiums @ $20 each x 6 = changed @ 50k (max 100k) = $120 @ 100k = $240

Grabbed this from the ngk site;

- Fine Iridium tip ensures high durability and a consistently stable spark

- Iridium alloy has extremely high melting point

- Trivalent Metal Plating - superior anti-corrosion and anti-seizing properties

- Improved acceleration, high fuel efficiency and durability

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
