Well Paul, I'm a bit dirty on Yellow Jackets at the moment because I just had a set fitted to my modified, series 2 Stagea RSFour S and then went to Wakefield to do a supersprint last Sunday week. The car went like a dream on the way down but I didn't even complete one lap before one of the new coilpacks died and the car was on 5 cylinders.

I limped home, having wasted $195 entry fee and the petrol to get there. The next day I went back to the workshop (O2 Autosport at South Nowra) who confirmed the coilpack problem and ordered a replacement under warranty. As of last Friday the replacement still hadn't arrived.

So yes, I would test your new series of coil pack but how about compensating me for the loss I incurred because of your faulty one?

At least getting a replacement to O2 Autosport would be nice...

Hope I hear something back from you,

Paul Merry

Hi Paul,

The testing stage has been completed and these have been in circulation for around 6 months now but thanks very much for your offer.

I have been in constant contact with Geoff from 02 Autosports regarding the Faulty coil. I sent a replacement to them the same day they contacted me and it should have arrived by Wednesday or Thursday of last week. I recommend they check at their local post office as it is probably sitting their, awaiting collection.

I myself am also still waiting for 02 to send me the faulty coil pack, which they have not done so as yet, nor have they confirmed that they will be doing so either. I have asked them a couple of times but they havent confirmed that they will send it back to me at all.

This is the first instance I have had with the NEO coil packs and Id like to get this faulty one back so we can figure out what went wrong.

Ive also sold around 70 sets since we released them late last year with 0 return rate due to failure.

Thats over 400 individual coil packs and yours is the first to have any issues.

Im sorry that this has happened and I am doing what I can to rectify this situation and so far, I have more than honored the warranty by sending the replacement (even without ever seeing the faulty one) but I also need 02's co-operation here.

I trust you understand and Im sure this issue will be sorted out shortly.

Regards,

Paul.

i'd just like to point out that mine are still going strong. and they probably see more of a hard time then most would! RB25 neo, E85, GTX3076, 1.4 bar, 350ish rwkw and not a single missfire ever. used in my competition drift car and have done many track days on them.

Thats Awesome. I always like hearing good feedback about the coils. Im glad they are looking after you.

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
