Hey all,

Well I went to check out a Skyline not too long ago. This is probably the best car Ive seen so far.

I'm rapt that I found a car looking as good and sounding as clean as this one.

There was one problem which I saw and it was the only problem. When the car is off, the boost gauge is stuck at 0 or just a tiny bit above. When boosting, it does not move and when idling it does not move. No matter how much boost or vaccuum, it does not change.

I don't know what to think. Is the problem on the cluster end or at the boost sensor? Could the guy have attempted to tamper with the km's on the car and forgot to put something back? Is it an easy fix?

I really like this car and I'm going back for another look, I just want to see if anyone has seen this before!

Cheers

mate i would check to see if the vacuum hose is properly connected in the engine bay.

in an r33 there will be a little black box near the back of the inlet plenum with a line running through the firewall into the dash cluster.

check that and see if it's connected properly :(

just to clarify, the vaccum line goes from the plenum to the little black box (located on the back of the drivers side strut tower) and then there are wires that go to the gauge in the dash. it is very common for this vaccum hose to split as they are getting old now.
