hahaha i know your guessing but from that pic how can you see the axels that go through the engine sump :) really up high there is no difference from gts4 to gtst

he can put an attessa switch in instant rwd without dropping a shaft

I said that because R32 GTS4's came standard with ABS, and it doesnt have ABS. Yes it could have been removed, but for example Dans R32-R which has been de-ABS'd still has reminants in the bay..

But youre absolutely right, I cant see the axles through the sump :(

Come on Tangles, confirm what it is!

edit: it has staggered rims too........

The R32 sedans were offered with four-cylinder and inline-six engines, of which the basic was the CA18i, a normally aspirated 1.8l 4-cylinder with 91hp at 5200rpm (GXi). Next was the RB20DE, a 2.0 l normally aspirated inline-6 with 155hp, for the Click for a larger imageGTS. Top of the bunch was the turbo-charged RB20DET, with 215hp/6400rpm and 263Nm/3200rpm of torque, which worked in the GTS-t and GTS4 models. Later, the GTS25 also got the RB25DE, a normally aspirated 2.5l inline-6 with 180hp at 6400rpm and 231Nm at 4800rpm. 4-speed automatic and 5-speed manual transmissions were available. The automatic even came with a so-called “power”-mode, in which the box holds the lower gears until about 5000rpm, instead of the usual 3000, before shifting up a gear. For the first time in a Skyline, power was fed either to the rear via a viscous limited-slip-differential, or to all four wheels (GTS4). On the passive side, ventilated disc brakes all around with 4-piston calipers up front and 2-piston calipers in the rear kept this power in check; ABS was available optionally.

rebuilt Rb30 gearbox

that wont last long. start shopping for a 25 box.

i knew someone was gonna bring up the whole higher RON thingy...but who cares, LPG is still homo lol

~60-70 cpl, 115 octane, how is it homo?

I don't rate LPG... Yes its higher ron whatevz but imo its wack as f**k. Epic converters needed if you want to run decent power, another tank install makes for a very messy setup. I'd only consider it if I had big $$ for alot of custom parts to hide all the condensors otherwise makes your bay a mess, and if it was a Drag only car. Tubbed, caged, 4link etc.

Congrats on the buy man, its going to be a ball of fun. Having a RB30 gearbox you would think its RWD? lol

That gearbox won't last long. They sturggle with stock RB30ET power. If its the MX7 (genuine turbo box) It'll last yyou some time but dont expect a MF5 to hold up long after a couple powerskids lol.

P!ss them wack rims off asap too :)

i dont know what your talking about :) lies all lies

comes with spare GTR gearbox, so all is good

rwd, petrol, six&ahalf G, done deal, on early flight tomorrow to melb, home tomorrow night.

* happy pants

:P

rbside.jpg

dent to fix. got a longer seat rail on order already :D

already have my previous decent new 17's rims, a new seat I didnt like in the Stag, etc.

bit's to do, but gonna be good fun.

all in lieu of the bike - which I have used for like 400kms only.

so yeh a good deal to keep me happy.

The new direct port gas injection is a good piece of gear. All the new holdens and fords have to use the new system because of their ECU. The new systems give you the same fuel control as multi point fuel injecton and can make some really good numbers.

Brett for Graham West got around the 340rwkw mark with their XR6T with just a slight boost increase and LPG.

thread fail, need advice on r32 gtr and you go and get yourself a gts tangles tangles tangles

sorry

:P all I can "afford" seeing its in lieu of having a bike

already got attessa in the stag - now have GTR rb26dett & gearbox

might find its way in - ? :D

    • After @Kinkstaah debacle, I'd never want to try and get it right 😛
    • The hood lines up with the fenders. The front bar doesn't perfectly line up with the fenders where the wheel arch is. You have to 'squeeze' the front bar 'in' as it wants to naturally flare out and be longer on the sides. There's a few threads where people notice this when they only swap a GTR style bumper and front bar. Unless you have genuine OEM items - you may be better served getting conversion kits. There are GTT bumpers to fit GTR hoods. There are GTR hoods (non genuine) to fit the GTT bracketry. MAY
    • The real question is, on some of those wild roads they call highways, how many times did a farmer in an old ute from the early 2000s blaze past you over double lines?   Tassie is a wild and really cool place, and after doing a work related road trip there January of 24, I understand why Targa Tasmania is ran there, and is so tough to do well at! We had a brand new Camry Hybrid that handled quite nicely, and thankfully weren't in an old car, because cresting some of those hills in a 100kmh zone for it to suddenly be like "surprise f**kers, this is a recommended 30kmh hard right turn" wouldn't be pretty. We weren't racing the Camry around, but we weren't slouching in the bends either. But my lord those old farmers know their old clapped out utes, and those roads, as they were absolutely hammering it!   You're also super lucky to make it up to Mt Wellingtong this time of year. It's often road closed with snow/ice! Also, I hope you hit up Salamander Road in Hobart for some insanely good food (I highly recommend the dimly lit Irish pub for a Guiness Pie, or even the bangers and mash!!!)   How long did the Ferry take to get across? I want to do a road trip of Tas on my own time, but I get horrifically sea sick, and I don't want me on the Ferry, just the car 😛
    • So far so good, about 30km on it so far and nothing out of sorts yet thankfully
    • Look at @Kinkstaah's thread on the issue.
