Yeah man ;) its just the GFC :D

i want a r33 but im getting 17k in november and by then maybe the price of r34s would of gone abit down (doubt it)

and i might snap a cheap one up

Don't think the R34s will come down in price anytime soon as they are the last of the true street machines. The R35 is somewhat in a different league. Just my 2c.

Btw, AWSIM GTR spec-V, love the R33s. These models should definitely hold their heads high in the next few year, shame you can't keep yours. GL with the sale :)

I doubt hey. Remember, as much as everyone likes a bargain, when it comes to cars like these it more or less 90% you get what you paid for. I've seen countless example as such and I wouldnt wanna spend that kinda money betting on the 10%.

During my hunt (sometime early last year), I've seen 3 33GTR below 28k and all 3 were crap (owners doesnt know shit about the car, bad cheapass mods etc). And I end up paying a bit more for the N1. Been driving for slightly more than a year and never have any issue with it except changing a CV boot.

I think he was referring to R34 GT-T's, to which I have seen a few coupes go for around the 17-19k mark that were reasonably respectable.

Precisely Brandon, you know exactly my point when it comes to you get what you pay for. My car has a few little marks here and there, but nothing major for a 14 year old car, and when it comes down to it, I'll gladly stand behind it and go as far to say I'd guarantee that its sound as a new car. Without ever owning/driving a GTR of whatever model, you cannot truely appreciate the driving experience.

Having a car that goes fast but turns like a boat (VE CLUBSPORT comes to mind) and driving a car that is so refined and sooo many light years ahead of anything else of its day. It's clear to me where my heart lies.

I just cannot afford to keep a playtoy at the present time. Please guys, I'm not dropping the price anymore and would really like the money to free up some things in my business and career.

And please, continue the discussion!!

And just for a laugh, I found a couple old MOTOR mags from 1996. GTR is all in it up agaist the HSV GTS-R..

Some great reading if anyones interested I'll scan it!

I am in the search for a standard-ish GTR at the moment. I work in Coffs Harbour during the week and was wondering if we could arrange a spot to look at the car?

I just sold my SV6 and am now car-less! Which is not a nice place to be.

Hey mate, due to the nature of my work (I run two businesses on my own) along with my gym and fighting I have very limited time during the week.

I'd your deadset keen shoot me a PM and we can talk seriously about arranging a way for you to view the car.

I am awaiting to hear back on a genuine offer at the present. As you have seen the car advertised, what sort of money would you be willing to pay for mine. Pm me if you wish.

Just make an offer guys, I am a motivated seller and it must go!

I may swap for the following cars, STi, VZ/VY/VE ute, or R34.

Ultimately just would like cash thanks!

Mate scan that shit!

Don't have a scanner at present but its the GTS-R vs GT-R write up for the 1996 Melbourne Motor show, they flew out a 1996 Midnight purple R33 GT-R V-spec. Complied and registered it. The only ever complied and 'Australian Imported' GT-R sold to Nissan Australia.. Not sure where it is now?

Anyone please feel free to add your 2c. In regards to condition and asking price! Or is the market just that dead :rofl2: ?

its dead sorry.

    • Yeah well per the video it took 15s for the stock unit to start up....even if I give it a few seconds discount for starting that is at least 12 sec before you get a reverse camera if you are trying to leave a park.  The android unit is way faster, but 2016 for the stock unit is a long time ago in consumer electronics
    • Yea that’s why I said ima test them with multimeter and see the reads.
    • Only at idle. Isn’t a problem when rev it seems.
    • @Haggerty This seems silly to ask, but are you confident in your ability to tune the Haltech?
    • Next on the to-do list was an oil and filter change. Nothing exciting to add here except the oil filter is in a really stupid place (facing the engine mount/subframe/steering rack). GReddy do a relocation kit which puts it towards the gearbox, I would have preferred towards the front but there's obviously a lot more stuff there. Something I'll have to look at for the next service perhaps. First time using Valvoline oil, although I can't see it being any different to most other brands Nice... The oil filter location... At least the subframe wont rust any time soon I picked up a genuine fuel filter, this is part of the fuel pump assembly inside the fuel tank. Access can be found underneath the rear seat, you'll see this triangular cover Remove the 3x plastic 10mm nuts and lift the cover up, pushing the rubber grommet through The yellow fuel line clips push out in opposite directions, remove these completely. The two moulded fuel lines can now pull upwards to disconnect, along with the wire electrical plug. There's 8x 8mm bolts that secure the black retaining ring. The fuel pump assembly is now ready to lift out. Be mindful of the fuel hose on the side, the hose clamp on mine was catching the hose preventing it from lifting up The fuel pump/filter has an upper and lower section held on by 4 pressure clips. These did take a little bit of force, it sounded like the plastic tabs were going to break but they didn't (don't worry!) The lower section helps mount the fuel pump, there's a circular rubber gasket/grommet/seal thing on the bottom where the sock is. Undo the hose clip on the short fuel hose on the side to disconnect it from the 3 way distribution pipe to be able to lift the upper half away. Don't forget to unplug the fuel pump too! There's a few rubber O rings that will need transferring to the new filter housing, I show these in the video at the bottom of this write up. Reassembly is the reverse Here's a photo of the new filter installed, you'll be able to see where the tabs are more clearing against the yellow OEM plastic Once the assembly is re-installed, I turned the engine over a few times to help build up fuel pressure. I did panic when the car stopped turning over but I could hear the fuel pump making a noise. It eventually started and has been fine since. Found my 'lucky' coin underneath the rear seat too The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLJ65pmQt44&t=6s
