Hey Guys,

I'm selling my IMMACULATE 1997 Silver R33 Series 3 Skyline for $26,500.

Car is 100% stock with only updated Tomei Intake pipes and pods.

Silver in colour and has only 40,000km on the clock.

I am interested in Swaps for any Turbo Diesel 4WD located in SYDNEY ONLY otherwise cash sale will also do.

If you're interested, please let me know.

I will do a straight swap for a Turbo Diesel 4WD with a boat and trailer if anyone is interested!

Pics will be available on request but a stock Series 3 GTR is a stock series 3 GTR!

Cheers guys

Yeah i'd like some photo's if possible!! How long have you owned it for? any finance owned? what area in sydney? Rust? Factory Hid's? import papers? what needs to be done to the car? (clutch, service, tyres, cv's) does the car leak?

Thanks,

James.

Hey Guys,

Please find the pics below.

I've had the car for a bit over a year now, but l've just secured a job up in Mount Isa (mining town in QLD) and a skyline would not be a good choice up here.

The car was paid with cash and l will provide all vehicle details for a REVS check to interested buyers.

The car is located in Bankstown, Sydney with no evidence of rust at all. The car has always been garaged and YES, it has the factory series 3 HID Headlights.

I do not have the import papers as l did not import the car myself.

The car is regularly serviced (every 3-4k or once a year), the tyres are around 80% all around, CV's are fine, not a drop of oil on the ground. The clutch has approx 40% left and is a heavy twin plate clutch as far as i know.

I've attached pics below, but l am currently up in QLD (3000km away from Sydney) without my car, but l can organise inspections if the right buyer comes by.

Cheers

I am genuinely interested and would like you to provide some clarification on the year and a few more details please.

In the photos, the colour of the car doesn't appear to be series 3 silver, but the series 1 silver, and the front lip is also a series 1 item, not the later series 3 lower type, so the car appears to be a series 1 with the late model headlights fitted.

Please post the VIN so I can run it through FAST and confirm - Pm me if you like.

Thanks.

Right hand rear tailight has foglight instead of reverse light.

I'd say that it's a series 3 with the front lip replaced.

Also in his avatar it's states that it's a 97 model.

Interesting about the colour, its definetly paint code KL0, as released in the series one.

Not sure if they continued using this colour for the series 3, KR4 was more popular.

Vin number will definetly confirm.

Bump, nice car...

Hi,

What clarification do you need for the year? As in how do you want me to confirm the details? I'm not 100% sure about the color as well, I've seen a few R33 GTR with a similar colour, maybe my camera is just bad with the colour?

However yes, the lip is a series one lip, it was there when l bought the vehicle.

It is a series 3 vehicle with the red stitching which runs throughout the vehicles interior.

I do not have the VIN details on me as im in QLD, the vehicle is in SYDNEY. If you're interested, let me know so that l can organise for an inspection to be made so you can record the details yourself.

Cheers

    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
