what are you asking on here for if its at the auto sparky ? sounds a lot like the electrical acceries fuse . or one of them . did you notice if the tail lights still worked ?

well, initially they changed the fuse and it blew again when i drove it down the road...

he is gonna keep the car over night because he couldnt figure it out straight away.

just wondering if others have had similar issues

was anything changed prior to that happening? e.g. a recent a/v install or accessories add on?

I got the ipod installed and the GPS is after market. however, those have been cleared by the mechanic.

guess this isnt a common problem.

fingers crossed that this doesnt cost me a $$$$$$

its a fuse. now to be wore exact its the main acc fuse in the drivers panel and the ONLY way that pops is if someone has fiddled with that circuit.

now if you have EVERY thing else there then its a unit fault and I fix those.

just had same issue happened to just two days ago...

centre console suddenly lost power for split sec, then back on again for few minute, then repeat for about 3 times before its completed out:

-lost power on centre console, cant do anything to music and aircon - but aircon still running as normal (still feel cold air out from vent)

-no light on speedo

then I stopped on the side of the road, shut the engine down...left for about 30sec and turn the engine on and everything back to normal :D

i've only got the ipod connector installed

still be fuse even tho it did come back normal?

    • Thanks Mate, I did know you could do that but i know there is a pump out there that you can bolt on and it all lines up. I was told about it and then forgot the model, I figure if i am pulling it apart i will just put a new one on
    • You can also remove the veins from the HICAS portion of your existing pump.
    • Trying to swap the rear subframe on my R34 and can't remove the L-shaped stay brackets between the front subframe mounts and the sill/chassis. I'm in the UK so rust is a problem. I've used loads of WD40 and then Tunap 103 for days beforehand. I backed off the bolts forward a bit, backward a bit repeatedly for ages to try and avoid snapping. They have all moved a few full turns. The one I've spent most time on has come loose and I can turn with fingers, and it will pull down and push up 2-3mm. But it won't come out. I can tighten it back up and loosen it off again repeatedly but it still won't come out. I assumed there's a captive nut inside but if that's broken loose then I can't understand why I can always tighten the bolt back up - I'd expect it to just spin both ways. Any ideas what's happening here? I can't visualise what's inside there to cause this.
