_turtle_: I know that they have done a few things, just not all the things on the WRITTEN CONTRACT....

I wasn't saying they tried to destroy my car I was just suggesting they tried to tune the A/F ratio in order to make the car run smoother as a part of tuning.

As they managed to run a diagnostics program, i'm sure they'd be more than capable of doing so...

I had toy sports check my car in penrith. they did a good job, some people have had problems, but I was there watching with the previous owner the whole time.

I got my 100,000km's service done at justjap. they are pretty good and did an excellent job. would reccomend them anytime, the guys down there are really helpful with enquiries too

Ok, here's an update for yaz guys,

I replaced my rear pads on the weekend that had "1000 k's left on them...." and they where only half worn... hmmm, if that's a thousand k's left then i'm a monkeys uncle....

Luckily i did replace them though becaus i pulled one out and the pad fell off the base plate.... and that could have been disasterous if it had of happened while i was driving....

I used to have one of those warrenty things on my old car. You read the fine terms and it doesnt cover shit, and you have to take the car to places that the warrenty people deal with, not who you want to deal with.

I think a reliable decent mechanic that you can trust is alot better then a dodgy warrenty. Find someone you like at a workshop that looks after skylines and you wont have to put up with this shit. The warrenty doesnt work out to saving you much money after you spent it on this so called service by these goons. Get everything done right the first time

Ok guys, just a bit of an update....

I have spoken to the MVRIA and, as advised, have gotten a quote from an individual mechanic for installation of the BOV... I have a written quote for $60 (which is $140 less than what the dealer charged). I have also been told that the dealer could NOT have voided my warranty if i had the BOV installed elsewhere... So basically i was suckered in... NOW, the MVRIA have told me to let the dealer know he owes me $140... they have also sent me the paper work incase the dealer refuses to pay.

So, on sat, i have to take my car back out there to have all the previous service problems corrected (hopefully) and claim my money.

I also will have to have all the issues i have sorted...

Before i go: can any one advise the following?...

When a car is complied, tyres have to be changed to aust ones... does this include the spare?... my spece saver is still a japanese (obvious with the japanese writing on it... and i know it wasn't changed in compliance because there is an imprint on the boot floor under it from the writing on the tyre (thus it has been there quite some time...)

Also:

Can anyone suggest why i found my muffler was stuffed with steel wool? (it's not that loud! - no louder without it in there)... I can't find a logical explanation and can't see why this would be left there through compliance....

thanks again guys.

nah, i found out i can have the servicing done wherever i want as long as it follows the guidelines in the warranty book (thanks again mr MVRIA man).... so i'll do that then when something goes wrong throw the bill in their face ;)

but i'm betting by the end of sat the guys gonna HATE me with a passion! :(... and that's what you get for being an arsehole in the 1st place...

Alright, was there on sat... guy refuses to give me the money he owes me (for the overcharge when installing BOV), so now i have to call the MVRIA and get them to sort it out... Also, i still have the boost problem...???? what is it???....

I have to call the MVRIA and find out my options...

They also refuse to fix the air-con so i have to call DOFT because they sold me a car with air-con (where the air-con doesn't work)....

AAARRRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!!

Also, the guy was pissed with me and reversed my car out of the driveway and hammered the brakes making it slide!!!!! Who can i talk to about this, what can i do as that's just thrashing my car....

Also, i caught him going through the centre console and showing everyone in the workshop what i had there.... what's the go there!?!?!?

HELP GUYS!!!! WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT THESE ISSUES?????

That is total BS man, I strongly recommend that you refer the matter to consumer affairs and let them deal with it. I guarantee you that these people will start listing and being nice once you get CA involved.

Just make sure that you document all these incident... witnesses would be nice.

All the best.

Dempo: Ya smart arse... that's a brave comment to make on this forum man.... lol.... wait till i c u again, i'll line u up and we'll see what i shoulda bought... :headspin:.... :(

krpt: have spoken to the MVRIA and DOFT and they're helping me sort out issues but i'll have to sort out both the "going through my personal stuff" and "miss-treating my car" bits somehow... Might ring DOFT again about them....

My G/F was there with me so there's a witness.... :D She also said he made a few comments and swore at me when I wasn't listening so....

If he's gonna be a real pain in the ar5e then i might just ring ACA... :D that'll hurt him.... :(

    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
